The rise of an empire

The eldar mythcycles contain the tales of old gods who guided the eldar race. Their tales are told by the eldar and the harlequins. But some gods are never spoke of, one of them is Nor the silverweaver. He was the first of the eldar gods to descend upon the material realm, where he thought the eldar a great many things about the warp and the creatures that dwell within. The eldar worshipped Nor in return for this gift of knowledge. This filled the other gods with jealousy, and so did they to descend unto the material realm. Most of the eldar were blinded by the light of the other gods and turned their back to the teachings of Nor seeking solitude with the other gods. Furious by this betrayal Nor gathered his followers and left for the void of space. Searching for a place where he could prepare his vengeance.

For many years did they travel in the void. Until they found a curious planet, this planet was dark as , the night guarded with three silver coloured moons. The strangest thing however was the absence of a sun. It was on this planet that Nor’s new empire would be founded, an empire for his children both majestic and deadly, the Norcaine empire.

He named the planet Shall here the Norcaine lived in peace exploring and training for one day they would execute their masters vengeance. It is in this period that the great Norcaine castes where formed out of noble eldar families. Each caste would specialize in a certain aspect of combat so they could strike with deadly precision. The Draco caste is the base of the Norcaine army, consisting of warriors skilled in combat at both long and short range combat. Their warriors are robbed of everything at young age, and so they are send to the grey schools of Draco where they are trained in the art of killing and hating. Only when they overcome the harsh training, which most do not survive, and become a wrathful adult are they allowed to call themselves a member of the Draco caste. The rival of the Draco caste is the Acheron caste, a caste build upon the seer desire of power. All members of the Acheron are powerful psykers of whom the most skilled are able to command lesser creatures of the warp as their labour beasts or body guards. Though these arts require a lot of energy, the only way to get these energies is to rip the soul out of the body of a psyker. The Norcaine performed raids on small eldar outposts making it seem like warp creatures devoured them. The last and smallest Caste is the caste of Sinistra because it is based more on tradition then on prowess. Sinistra provides the Norcaine army with lightning fast vehicles. Soaring through the sky ripping apart the limbs of their enemies as they pass by. The pilots are known to claim trophies by impaling enemies on their crafts as they fly through the enemies ranks. The only one knowing of this place was the laughing god Nor's oldest and most dearest friend, they shared many secrets as they watched and laughed at the other gods who where fighting eachother. And so did the Norcaine build their empire, waiting in the dark lurking, stalking their prey the eldar gods.

The cruelest fate

It was not until Nor hearded of Isha's capture that he would start his war. He could not bear the thought of Isha in the hands of Khaine, for in secret he had always loved Isha. But it was a bitter love and a torment for he never thought himself good enough, but this was his chance to prove himself worhty. He gave the command to his children to unleash the horrific arts they learned unto the god of war an his followers. Night after night, day after day they fought worlds where filled with mutilate bodies and wracks of ships. It was a battle of cruel arts against pure violence, a battle that seemed to have no end. Only after many days of fighting did Nor learn form the laughing god that Isha was held in a desolated part of the webway. Blinded by love did he fought his way to the webway only to be trapped in a gaint soulstone by his most trusted friend. The laughing god had betrayed him.

The absence of their god weakend the norcaine for they were linked to their god, as was most of their arcane technology.
Weakend and almost unarmed they were no match to the fierce warriors of Khaine. Most norcaine died fighting Khaine, after which Khaine headed for Shall shattering the planet and its moons. The norcaine that where on the planet fled through the webway.

The other eldar gods where horrified by the acts of Nor and prohibited his worship. The soulstone was given the a newly found brotherhood of powerfull psykers who not only guarded Nor with their power but also made sure excessive use of psychic powers was punished heavily.
