New player but not new painter, I'm working on easy fast sheme for my kabal.

Nice. I like the bronze extending through the barrel. Colour scheme is simple and effective.

I always say, though, that the base MAKES the model. So i'm keen to see what you do with that

You're dam right about the base but in order to paint the kabal really fast I've planned to make "lunar" bases : cheap, quick and it give a great contrast for this scheme.

You could drop some water effects into blue-painted mini craters and drybrush some white over it (once dry) to give it the look of a moon far from its star, nice and cold.

Suggestion only, if you're interested.

And I'am ! How do you realise water effect ? It's a product isn't it ?
May be I can try with 'arcoat from GW or I'm lost in the webway ?

From memory, Ardcoat is just a gloss varnish.
Water effect comes in 2 types, one is a liquid that settles and levels (good for still water, I'd suggest this one if you want to to frozen/ponds/craters) and one more like PVA for moving water.

There are a few brands, but I use Woodland Scenics.

Here's the same guy with more highlights on the armor. The pop is better now ? No red glaze this time.

I like the second guy the best great work on the eyes too!

@nexs I'll be trying that frozen water look on my dark angels in the new year, their snow bases really need some extra detail, thanks for the tips!
