Master Swordsman

I just saw the White Dwarf published Black Templar Warlord Traits list and something caught my eye.

Trait number 1: Master swordsman.

Let's compare and contrast here for a moment shall we?

Space marine trait:
+1 WS, +1 Attack.

Dark Eldar Blood Dancer warlord trait:
+1 WS.

GW, we all know that your special snowflake Space Marines are always going to get parental favoritism, but could you at least PRETEND there's some degree of equity?

Another GW "Upgrade" that was recently drawn to my attention:
Genestealers can upgrade their Rending Claws to Scything Talons for 4 points. What's the difference?
Scything talons are AP 6 to Rending Claws AP 5 and Rending.

Totally worth it.

I'll do you one better. Been thinking about it, and Master Swordsman is better than Blood Dancer and Soulthirst COMBINED!

After all, what is Soulthirst but an extra +1 attack on the charge on top of what you normally get. Not anywhere near as good as having +1 attack at all times.

So yeah. Space Marine Warlord trait > 2 Dark Eldar Warlord traits together.

I am depressed now.

Genestealers can PURCHASE a set of scything talons, not replace their rending claws. Basically outfits them with an extra close combat weapon, and therefore an additional attack.

Gene stealers have always been CC maniacs, though.
