New IA Apocalypse Update on FW Website

Looks like we will know the rules for the Tantalus soon enough and also if they have fixed the crapfestival rules of the Reaper.

Well FW: Apoc Vs 2 is just the original two with rules changes and the new stuff added in, so Im guessing its the old raven model just with some new rules. If it get interceptor though it might be worth it, since alot of people in my LGW have some fliers, especially the tau players (for some odd reason)

£26 isn't too bad, feels like a lot just for the rules for 3 vehicles but then it is well produced and presented, I'll be getting it.

I think cynicsm is fair about the Raven, they're still selling that model so assuming the rules will be for it. It's a shame as the model was poor even when released, looks like a kitbash of an old raider with no imagination. The Tantalus on the other hand.....

Well for me there is alot more than just 3 vehicles. I will be using the Space Marines rules and my wife will be using the Eldar rules so that is about half the book so I am good.

The old FW flyer was the raven interceptor, so the raven strike is the old model with new role. It had interceptor, new name sounds like it will be ground attack, or maybe dual role. At least it won't have old splinter cannon anymore, old one looks different enough they could make it count as something completely different now. Unless they are dropping the old model and a new flyer is coming out. New model would be nice, body looking like new reaver instead of old, not probable.

I'll be ordering it, still waiting for IA 11, maybe U.K. GD will bring word of release date. I was hoping they would be released near each other so I could save shipping with big order. Still no rules for corsairs that came out last spring.

Oh I wont put up anything IP infringing or anything, I'll just tell you if it's code 'F' or not.

I'm hoping the Tantalus will be properly Epic and the Reapers awful rules have seen a fixy fixy.

If they suck, I might have to send FW a poo in a bag ....

In all honesty, i highly doubt that they have fixed them. But we will see. The tantalus, on the other hand, should not be messed up, or chicken will be replaced by certain rule-smiths

Yes, one has to agree, in the event of a suck-fest chicken will no longer suffice. The gods clrarly demand a more fitting sacrifrice.

Want better rules ? Sacrifice rules designers. Simples....

I notice the on Reaper page posted on the FW website, it lists the points cost as 125, which is a 10point drop over the experimental rules, mightt make it more viable?

I can't read the rules, text is too small and fuzzy.

I think it still says 135. The 5 pt night shields look like they are now 10, blur looks different then one above and matches blur where flicker field is. 5pts was probably a typo in test rules. Couldn't quit make out template size, but I think it said 7". That may make it worth it, much easier to catch multiple vehicles, I'll find out once I order and assemble one.

Just noticed in the Index that the Eldar Phoenix, Void Phoenix and Nightwing are no longer listed. Nor the Scorpion or Cobra. They are all still listed as being available for sale, though.

Maybe they are being held back for IA12?

I'll take another look at the reaper on the big pc screen see if I can see more, but it could be 135.

They are in IA12

They are in the next Eldar codex so no longer have FW rules

They are now classed as HS and not Apoc so not in the book.

Or any combination of the above

Also looks like lots of stuff is missing - several Daemon engines for starters.

I have both IAA1 and 2...but it seems I will need to have all 3 books to have a full list of sheets, which is quite annoying as I had hoped to replace the 2 books with 1.

So apparently the sales-stands at GD were an epic fail and the lines of people were hours long, none of the people I know who went could lay hands on a Tantalus and as yet I have no idea if the Apocalypse update will be available to me either.

I NEED to know what they have done with those rules !! the Tantalus I can pick up at WH world when I go to ToS

There's a moron selling 3 Tantalus kits on eBay for £160 each. No idea why they don't limit these limited supply models to one per customer.
