My 1500pt list Eldar/DE

So, here is my list for our local 1500pt tournament. Ideas? (I dont have any windriders)

Eldar:

Wraithknight, scatter laser

Autarch, Jet Bike, Banshee Mask

5 Rangers

6 Dire Avengers w/ exarch
8 Warp Spiders w/ exarch
8 Warp Spiders w/ exarch

6 Wraithguard w/wraithscythes

DE:
Archon, WWP, Venom (2 sp. can)
5 Warriors, Venom (2 sp can)
venom (2 sp can)

I suppose the Wraithknight also has Wraithcannons, and the Portal Archon is joined to the Wraithguard, right?
But what weapons did you give to the Autarch and the Dire Avenger Exarch?

yes, wraithknight w/ wraithcannons, scatter laser to improve charging performance. Portal archon w/ wraithguard to deep strike w/o mishap. Autarch is bare, I usually run him with the wraithguard to minimize slay the warlord....and nothing real special on the Autarch and the Exarch due to points

The bike is useful to get him out of harms way or to grab an objective, but why bother with the Banshee Mask, assault support gear, on a model that isn't meant to assault? It may only be 5 points, but so would be Haywire Grenades for the Archon or a twin-linked Shuriken Catapult for the Exarch.

Unless I've missed something that Eldar list is illegal, as it has only one troop choice in what I'm presuming is a CAD.

Also, what's "2 sp. can"?

Presumably 2 splinter cannons.

Shredder is right though that you're missing a troop choice

I would put the dire avengers into your Eldar CAD. Drop one of your two squads of warp spiders and use the points for something else. Perhaps a ravage for some additional long range shooting?

Right, the Dire Avengers from the Aspect Host formation don't count as troops for the Combined Arms detachment. The list would be legal if you weren't playing the Aspect Warriors as a formation though.

Aspect Host is fine.

The issue is that your Eldar Combined Arms Detachment needs 2 troop choices (minimum), and currently you only have one.

I guess the easiest option would be to drop a wraithguard and one avenger and add either more rangers or 3 windriders. Or you could just put the apsect host in CAD. Which is kinda crappy because bs5 is kind of boss

Oh, one other thing, don't units in an Aspect Host have to have Exarchs?

If not, I'd strongly advise taking Exarchs on those Warp Spiders anyway for pseudo-Fearless.

Yeah the aspect host units need to have an Exarch in each unit.

I would always take an Exarch in spiders regardless. They are so good for the unit

okay, edited the list to make for not being able to get aspect host, and autarcs in my Spider units

Beyond that, is there something I should change? Something that would make this list more powerful?

6 Wraithguard /Dscythe- 252
Wraithknight /scatter laser-310

Archon /wwp/Venom/2 sp. Cannon 160
5 warriors, venom /2 sp.cannon- 105
Venom/ 2 sp cannon- 65

Gives me 22pts left over that I dont know how to spend

Haywire grenade and aom on the archon. Since the threat range of the wraith guard is 8 inches there is a distinct possibility the AoM will be worth it, and aince the haywire grenade is the only grenade in the squad you'll be able to throw it every turn.

Can Wraithguard run and shoot?

Just wondering how practical it is to run 6 of them, since if they can't run and shoot you'll really struggle to hit a target with more than 3 templates on the turn they land.

Wraithguard cannot run and shoot, but with the archon and autarch in the wraithguard, 5 fit around the archon, leaving the sixth to be put on the outside, allowing 4 to shoot, in my interpretation of the rules

Only in a Wraithhost formation. But that's a pretty expensive one.
