We will be having a game night next Wednesday and I thought to bring:
Archon with Blaster and Haywire Grenades in Venom

4x
5 Warriors with Blaster in Venom

Ravager with Lances.

What do you guys think?

What about a CTC with some upgrades to take out a variety of things~?

I'd personally try to fit as many vehicles as I could in at 750 points. Below 1k points, vehicles are pretty powerful.

What would you think of running more ravagers, and less blaster warriors?

Like:

1 Archon w/Blaster in a dual cannon venom 140
2x 5 Kabalite Warriors in dual cannon venoms 210
3x Ravagers w/ 3 Dark Lances 375

TOTAL: 725

That leaves you 25 points to play with. I'd probably personally drop the archon too for a Lhamean. He's just too expensive to bother with for what he does, in my opinion. If you do that, it could look something like this:

1 CAD
1 Lhamean in a dual cannon venom 75
2x 5 Kabalite Warriors in a dual cannon venom 210
4 Reaver Jetbikes w/Cluster Caltrops and Heat Lance 89
3x Ravagers with lances 375
TOTAL: 749

If you wanted a character for a warlord trait, you could make it 3 jetbikes instead of 4 and just upgrade a warrior or reaver.

Nice idea betray but I got two problems with that:
Isn't it a bit light on number of units and anti Infantry especially?
I just own one Ravager.

Sad Archon... And I just recently built three talos out of Skaven thingy monsters so I don't own enough for a corpse thief claw.

No, not really. My suggestion has 10 units, compared to your original list that has 11, as shown below. The difference being that in my suggestion, you have 3 AV11 platforms, while in your list you have 1. As for anti-infantry, 9 dark lances works pretty well against marines and termies, and you still have a fair amount of splinter fire. If it's that concerning for you, you -could- swap out the dark lances on 1 ravager for dissies and put a blaster on a squad of warriors. Personally, I like to ensure my enemy is on foot ASAP though, then use my speed and range to outmaneuver the remaining foot sloggers.

My Suggestion:
1 Lhamean in a dual cannon venom 75 (2 Units)
2x 5 Kabalite Warriors in a dual cannon venom 210 (4 Units)
4 Reaver Jetbikes w/Cluster Caltrops and Heat Lance 89 (1 Unit)

I guess that would be a problem if your opponent/TO wouldn't let you use raiders with dark lance kabalite warriors hanging off the sides as ravagers. Most TO's will, in my experience. Just magnetize a couple warriors with lances and you're good to go. Wink
