So I wrote a quick list down for a tournament thats going on in a couple weeks. here's what I got

93 Archon, Blaster, Huskblade

117 10 Warriors, 2 Blasters, 1 Dark Lance, Phantasm Grenade Launcher
80 Raider, Disintigrator Cannon

50 5 Warriors, 1 Blaster, Phantasm Grenade Launcher

160 10 Mandrakes

128 5 Scourges, 4 Blasters

Just off the top of my head, but I'm missing Ravagers, dunno if I wanna drop scourges and Mandrakes for them.

I also dont know what Obsession to go with, or Relic. Help me out, peeps!

Just a couple small tweaks. Put the PGLs in the Archons, higher BS and always rerolling, since the PGL is assault you can fire it with the blaster. Switch lances on the squads to splinter cannons, they're going to be moving a lot and you want that BS at 3+. Put the dark Lance's on the raiders instead.

I'd swap the scourges for a dissie Ravager. I think scourges are good, but more for when you need more firepower after you've filled out your Ravager slots.

Mandrakes are up to you, I think at 1k you can get away with just Blasters and 1 Ravager. 10 Mandrakes dropping in is going to do work.

Not sure where that leaves you with points but if you have some to spare, add 3 more warriors to that 5 man unit to get some more bodies riding with the Archons.

I just 'won' the tourney I was in... well we only played 3 rounds, and I went undefeated, as well as 1 other guy, so we split the prize.

I went black heart obsession, though I forgot to roll for my command points back every time, and I only used their unique strategem once... maybe flayed skull woulda been better?

my two first games were against rather new people, so not too difficult...well all three were new... But the last guy was running a strong smite spam 1k sons list...
List was:
Ahriman
shaman? on a disk
2x Demon Prince
2x Vortex beasts
20 pink horrors
10 ish...bow guys on a disk?

Ended up time ran out at the end of turn 5, with my warriors running over to one of his objectives, so I held 3.

I kept forgetting that I had 2 blasters in each venom...I was only shooting one! Never used my PGL though...lol

all in all, it was a good solid list... taking splinter cannons in the 10 man warriors instead of dark lances was a great idea...

That's awesome. Glad to hear it worked out. I'm not on the Black Heart hype train as much as most so I'd have to agree. I think at 2k with a heavy shooting list where you have 3 Ravagers/Razorwings that can benefit from the bubble or taking a BH Wing they are fantastic but for lower points, the other kabals are probably better.

How did the Mandrakes do?

mandrakes were wonderful. Got me 1st blood on my first game, then went about tying up Castellan robots for a few turns while I wiped out the rest of his army (for some reason, almost everyone was playing low model count armies) Second round, I forgot to drop them in until turn 3, and they wiped out a unit of guard by themselves. Third round they didnt do anything spectacular other than soak up a lot of shooting and smites, but still worth it!
