Skari Wins a 60 Person GT (5 rounds)

This weekend I went to, and won, a 60 person Major. It was an ITC Champions format.

I played my true love, the Drukhari. SO! Lets talk about it.

So it does not look like much!

I will be writing more on each match up, but here is a generic rundown :

Round 1 - Imperial Guard Conscripts and Artillery with Blood Angel Support
Round 2 - Space Marines, Dreadnought spam
Round 3 - Carnifex Spam
Round 4 - Tzeench Deamon Prince smite spam (with lots of cultists)
Round 5 - 18 Shining spears, Ynnari and Wave serpents.

How crucial to your typical battle strategies was your Tantalus?

I would love to try something like this but don't have a Tantalus. Do you think something like a pair of Dark Scythe Voidravens might be a suitable replacement? Obviously a few steps down but sharing some of the same roles?

The tantalus role varied. But I feel you would get similar use out of 4!raiders more than fliers.

I have everything to run this list but how did you find dealing with heavy vehicles? I mean I know the dissie is mathematically better but I can't feel good about needing 5s to wound all the time?

I'm with Red King and curious about how this list handles the enemy heavies.

About the dissies, they do work out, sadly, agains heavy. I beat knights this week with a couple of dissies. Sure you need 5+ but you get so many shots that it still deal more dmg in the end than Lances. Though you get a high variance but with the amounts of shots you often get close to the expected value anyways.

I'm more curious of your opinion on DE overall, Skari. I'm of the opinion that the faction a bit too "aggressivly" pointed in some areas. Not sure if you agree, but if you do, how would you say would be the best way of toning it down without crippling it compleatly ?

Have you used the "shoot twice" cult of strife stratagem with the tantalus a lot?

Hey Skari I watched a lot of your videos before...didn't know you were lurking here as well. Would love to read more about your games. That list looks similar to the one I'm looking to try out against my Guard friend.
