My 1st list utterings.

Hi I'm putting together my Drukhari army and have a basic idea of what I need for a 1,000 point army to start with, but I'd like some input on what obsessions or archon/Succubus attributes would work well together or what combat drugs would work with the Wyches.

I'm planning on expanding the army to 1,500 pts but I'm not sure what will add ballance to the army to give it enough anti-tank/close combat/objective holding?

Here goes...

1x Archon with Blast Pistol & Venom Blade. 89pts.

1x Drahzar. 120pts.

4x 5 Kabals. all 4x Splinter rifle, 1x Blaster. 47pts each.

4xVenom. 55 pts each.

1x Succubus with Blast pistol and Archite Glaive. 60 pts.

10 x Wyches. 1 with Blast Pistol and 3 with Hydra Gauntlets. 102 pts

1x Raider. 65 pts

1x VENOM. 55pts.(transoort for Archon or Drahzar or Succubus).

999 pts.

I'd probably say the next step is just more anti-tank, you don't have much of it there. A ravager or scourges add an extra bit of punch that you need.

Thanks for your reply Sarcron, A Ravager choice seems sound but are Scourges worth the points? Scourges certainly look good and can move fast, pack some punch with heavy weapons... but are they tough enough?
Could Talos provide adequate anti-armour support?

A Talos can have 2 Haywire blasters. That's pretty much as anti-tank as it can get. Mind that Haywire is specifically good vs vehicles, not other kinds of armour.
However, that would require a Coven detachment, since putting a Talos with the units you mentioned so far will cost you your obsessions. And that's a big no-no. But if you add an Haemonculus and some Wracks, and use the Raiding Force, that would work.

You probably want to go Flayed Skull for your Kabal units (+3" movement for your transports, re-roll 1's for rapid fire weapons shooting from the transports, ignores cover).

You could also go Black Heart, giving your transports a 6+ FNP save and access to the Agents of Vect stratagem.

The Wych drugs should be picked based on your oponent. The main ones to look at are +1 Toughness, +1 Attach and +1 Strength.

But there is a new set of rules getting released, along with new point costs that were just leaked today/yesterday. Things are going to change a fair amount, although you have not listed anything that got hit too hard.

I've done a little reading and considered what tactic I want to use. I'm aiming to stay light but hit hard...

It seems like you could leverage your choice of subfactions more.

One of the main benefits of Black Heart is the WLT and the Relic. You are taking the WLT, but you may want to consider some Ravagers/Reapers re-rolling 1's to hit and wound (with the Writ relic).

This isnt "required", but something to think about. What is your plan if 2-3 Venoms get blown up turn 1 and the enemy runs away from the Taloi?

Push forward and take board control

I planned to hide the Venom loaded with Incubi and use them as scalpel strikes assisted by Kabal and the massed Talos screened by Wracks or to use them as objective holders. I was thinking alone the same lines as you and thought should I loose the Venom the Talos are pretty limited on their own. I had thought to swap the none Venom-born Incubi with Mandrakes who can reserve and/or infultrate. Another idea could be Scourges?
