1500 pts kabal/coven

I’ve got about 1000 points of Drukhari and thinking of what my next purchases should be. I have all kabal and incubi at this point, and would like to add some wych cult units. Here’s the 1500 pt list I’ve been playing with. What do you think?

All units would start in raiders or venoms, with the 2 5-man wych and incubi units sharing a raider along with Drazhar or the succubus. Trueborn in the raider as well as the 2 ravagers can hopefully be a threatening force while the 2 units of warriors in the venoms can be used for harassment or objective capturing.

Ah, ESE is an acronym. It means Evil Space Elfes.

Well, Raiders are essential. Without, we are just glass without cannon. And that goes for all Lists.
Since you are quite new, I suspect, you dont play competitive, so when playing with friends, almost everything goes.
Whatever makes you feel comfi. It doesnt make sense, copying hardcore tournament lists.

Yeah I haven’t played in over 10 years. There’s a club in my area that has regular games so hoping to get there in the next few weeks and start playing.

You cant go wrong with Raiders, Wyches and a Succubus. Just keep in mind, most of our units are agile, but fragile.

Cool I figured some wyches, more incubi and more raiders would be a good addition. I know people have mixed feelings about venoms and ravagers but since I already own them I’ll run them, at least at first.

Venoms are still useful. Easy to hide, harder to hit and with a descent punch.
Its just that these super duper competitive players and pencil pushers say, they arent worth taking.
But if you are a normal player, they are quite fun to play and well worth their points.

Makes sense. Plus I’ve got a couple venoms so why not use em? I figure I need to get some games under my belt to know what play style I like. Wyches, reavers and hellions all seem like a lot of fun, and DT wracks seem nasty as well

I dont like DT Liquifiers. Along with the Razorbus its like a cheap cheat to me.
When I play, its fair and square. Well, that said, there are fair dirty tricks in our arsenal. You know, what I mean...

I dunno it still seems like DT liquifiers fit in with the glass cannon nature of the army. I’ve read that that combination might get nerfed in an FAQ. Not familiar with Razorbus, what is that?

What are some of the dirty tricks or just powerful units you like to run?

What has DT liquifier spam to do with the glass cannon motive? About as much as a frog with playing violine...
You squeeze 2x5 Wracks with 4 of these in a Raider. That gives four times 12" assault D6 S5 Ap-2 D2,
hovering 14" freely over the table, with 10 ablative T6 wounds and an additional Dark Lance.
You dont have hit-rolls, so you avoid the consequences of the better stat. And even when, the mortal wound would go to another Wrack.

Edit: With dirty tricks I mean strong Stratagems, or WL-Traits. Something that could change the match without ending friendships...

personally if i may, i love to play my Venoms in a Kabal of Poison Tongue detachment for the 3+poison obsession.
At least that way the difference vs raiders is a little bit mitigated and the Splinter Canons become worthy

knowing that you play with Incubis, some Grisly Trophies would be worth it, and the Trophies could also help your Phantasm Grenade Launchers

for stratagems always remember the fire and fade, the -1 to hit roll or the +1 save ones.
They are easy to play and can seriously change the outcome of the game

Since I too play Poisoned Tongue, i can add something to that. Killing with PT splinterfire gives +1 to attrition tests,
what perfectly adds to grizzly trophies and Dark Creed Coven. In fact, Im in the middle of a series of testruns,
using Ld-Bombs, Attrition tests and so on. It sure is a fun way to play, but highly situational.
With a bit of luck, I have my next testmatch this weekend.
