This is my first topic on this forum. I Think it is awesome that I finally found a forum dedicated to Dark Eldar. I have been playing DE since I got a 3rd ed starter set with 10 space marines and 20 DE warriors. They were always my 'sexy' evil army. I was really excited when I found out we were actually gettinga new book. I have bought 2 of the new kits so far, wychs and warriors. As I started painting them I decided to paint them in a purple and black color scheme. Now I have a small problem, what to name my kabal. I am thinking of calling it the Kabal of the Purple Sun. How does this sound to every one? As soon as I have more modals painted I will post some pictures.

I think there are a few too many "X Sun" Kabals honestly, though if thats what you want to do, go for it.

Vharing, if you're wanting some inspiration, look at the Kabal, Cult, Coven and Corsair lists over in this sub-forum.

Yes... Even Kabal with "Sun" in name is "grimdark" (Dying Sun = Dusk).

Anyway Purple Sun is just as terrible as Purple Knights (My SM/BA/BT/GK/Flavour-of-the-Month dudes), so go for it.

Xelkiereth, You or someone should move this topic to right place so it would get wanted ammount of attention.

And Hello vharing!

I also want to (second, or third if You also would count navy blue with red Orks) purple army, tho it would be mixed with white and "blooded hand" emblems. Good purple is good.

I wouldn't use the word purple. Think of something else that is purple or something that would make a sun purple...

Kabal of the Eclipsed Sun
Kabal of the Shadowed Sun
Kabal of the Dead Sun
Kabal of the Extinguished Sun.
Kabal of the Sundered

etc

Leave colors to low-brow monkeigh.

As for me, I'm torn with what to do with mine...
My forerunners are:
Kabal of the Fanged Moon (Dark Gray under bone/gray-white or red under bone/graywhite)
Wych Cult of the Daggers Eight (same except the under color is more pronounced)
Coven of the Bone Weavers (same armor with dark trench coats)

But I'm thinking I'm going to go with a more highborn theme and call it House <insert some cool last name here> and give each of the units a name like Razul and his Dark Reavers for a unit of Reavers.
