| I recently had to visit my doctor due to an uncomfortable itch and burning sensation. I assumed it was chlamydia, but it turns out it was the Grim Darkness. Fortunately he wrote me a prescription for 40k. He also mentioned that I should focus on the models and fluff that appeal to me, as that seems to help speed up the process. He said purchase models and apply them to the field of battle as frequently as I am able, to help suppress the symptoms. The down side, he said, is that there is no cure. I will have to continue to purchase more models for the foreseeable future...but at least I'll have something to show for it. And this is how I came upon the Dark Eldar.
I have been a table top gamer for quite some time, but I have never ventured to GW until now. I was instantly drawn to the DE models and fluff, as I always seem to be drawn towards the dark, evil, and depraved. Check, check and check! This seem to be a good time to start as well with the start of 6th edition. I have been reading the codex, and have the rulebook pre-ordered to arrive with the battlforce. I look forward to interacting with this great community, and openly welcome your guidance and suggestions.

| Oh, if only I could get 40k on (free) prescription...
Welcome to the Dark City. As you say, the start of 6th edition is a good time to enter 40k, though we're not yet sure what affect it will have on the Dark Eldar. Hope you enjoy it here.

| Thank you. Yeah, I know what you mean, my insurance doesn't cover it either. The upside is I what ever change there is; it will be all I know. I won't have the misfortune of being able to say, " We were so much better during x edition!" | |

| Welcome to Commorragh. I'm sure that all of you illnesses can be treated here. That intro made me laugh, although now I'm cautious about talkiing to people here, in case it's contagious. Well, I suppose I should take the risk.
Anyway, this is a great time to get into our wonderful hobby and The Dark City is full of skilled tactitians who can help you along the road to glory.
Enjoy The Dark City! _________________ Welcome to Commorragh!

| Don't worry, I don't think it can be spread by post to post contact. I'm pretty excited about getting started, and I look forwad to being a contributing part of the community. | |

At least that would be cheaper (plus I'm a drummer, so I already have one). And it would offer me an opportunity to do my mediocre Chris Walken impression.
