| I've been slowly planning my Beasts unit and I wouldn't put it past the Duke to have a collection of exotic beasts and pets, nor take them to show off on a realspace raid.
The idea is having 10 different Khymerae stand ins and 4 Razorwings, my ideas are as follows:
Khymerae Direwolf *Chaos hound Fenrisian Wolf Converted fenrisian wolf *Sabertusk Cold one *White Lion *Kroot hound ?
Razorwing *Ripperjacks *Terradon ?
I'm also planning a big beastie for a counts as Talos, ideas? _________________ Sky Serpent - Drukhari 40k My Facebook blog, follow for battle reports, tactics, painting and conversions

| There are the old warp beasts which add another khymera option and are easy to get off eBay. Vampire bats are also an easy to get option for razorwings _________________ Objective Secured - Western Australia's Premier 40k Event Organisers and Website OBJECTIVE SECURED

| Flesh hounds of Khorne (this editions as well as the last ones that looked like evil hyenas), LOTR Worgs as Khymera. As for the Razorwings, I made some with plastic bats, a spider swarm would be cool.

| Necron Wraiths and a Stalker are a possibility. Also Slaanesh steeds just might work. Pink horrors minus arms, GS over gaps, to give demented Pacman thingys might be fun. | |

| For Khymera, someone on here converted a lion-like model to accompany their Vect, and they said it was meant to rep a psychic creature that accompanies Farseers into battle. I know that is little enough to go on, as I can't remember who it was or the name of the creature. They used a pretty decent-looking lion model that I had assumed was from the High Elf line (I know little and less about fantasy), but now that I'm looking, I can only find these lions, and they might be too big: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440062a&prodId=prod790879 In fact, it may have been a sabretusk, but I can't believe it as the Sabretusks are some of the singularly most hideous models GW has ever produced! Also, you could consider the older plastic cold ones (the thick-looking, low-slung ones). I would vote for DarkMark's suggestion of Pink Horrors, and I would suggest to go further and GS over the eyes, as forum-member Hydra did so well: For Razorwings, if they don't have to be flying, I'd use Tyranid Rippers. If they have to be flying, consider FW winged rippers. And what about a Thundertusk/Stonehorn as a big, beastly Talos stand-in? _________________ | Modern Synthesist - See all of my nightmare creations Haemonculus Coven - See my Coven units Tyranids - See my Niddy conversions |

| I have revived this project and need more ideas, I've edited the original post with some more options, I've also added asterisks for anything I don't own which I'll paypal anyone with one to spare.
Also what is the optimum beast build? _________________ Sky Serpent - Drukhari 40k My Facebook blog, follow for battle reports, tactics, painting and conversions

| A figure I like is Trent miniatures cave bear.
3 versions, standing, rearing and attacking.
would make a good Clawed fiend.
They also do wolves, sabrecats vultures and bison
