if I have 2 units of 5 trueborn, and 1 of the units has 4 blasters and dracon, then what should I put on the other 5 guys? If they're in a venom then that covers the AI firepower, and I was thinking of shredders for a nuisance unit who go around in their venom, get out, shoot, and then assault. To boost the assaulting power of the unit, I would also add a dracon with pistol and venom blade, for challenges etc.

dracons are terrible, never take them...

more blasters are always good, as well as splinterborn (2 splinter cannons) if you feel you are low on AI.

An interesting choice is two dark lances (lanceborn) they problem a decent amount of long range AT, and are relatively cheap, but overall are only 3 man models... so its a hard unit to use.

never use shredders...

2 Splinter Cannons, mounted in a Raider with racks is actually really awesome. Tried and tested fun for sure! If you really want to be squirrely than Carbines throw out a lot of shoots but gets pricey quick, not very popular but Raider drive-bys become very funny!

sadly splinter racks only work for rifles and pistols... it doesnt even work for carbines (which you think it should)
