Children of...

My memory ain't so great, and I was hoping someone could enlighten me on this.
I have often heard the eldar advertised as "Children of Khaine". I remember that the mother of eldar is "Isha" (did I spell that wrong, tell me that too!), who cried the spirit stones and all, and that Khaine was just another god, who actually didn't even like eldar much. Anyone remember who the father was then? If I recall correctly, it was not Khaine.

Also yet one thing I have been pondering.
Since Khaine and The Laughing God (dont remember his/her real name) are the only eldar gods alive, and I think the codex told that they are known in Comorragh as well, how much are they worshiped? Do they have temples or something?
The harlequins have the most to do with Laughing God of course but could s/he too have followers other than them?

From what I have read, I would say the mother was Isha, and the father was supposedly Kurnous, since he was Isha's lover.

Cegorach aren't very much speaken of by others than the Harlies, so I wouldn't say so (but then again, you can never know).

children of khaine most likely came from how the aspect warriors worship the different aspects of khaine. But Saint is right, the mother was supposeably Isha and father Kurnous

I cannot recall correctly, but I believe Eldar have been named Children of Asuryan as well, Dark Eldar being named Children of Khaine and Exodites named Children of Isha. These names seem to be less about the actual lineage from the gods, and more about each part of the Eldar race embodying a specific trait - Eldar being proud and just, Dark Eldar being cruel and bloodhtirsty, and Exodites being hard working and pure.

I guess that's just the thing about Eldar mythology and language, the same word can mean many things, its precise meaning depending on the slightest detail.

I think even Dark Eldar are more hygienic than them. Can't say anything about the hard working part, though...

If it equates to fantasy at all then it would be
Craftworld Eldar: Asuryan
Dark Eldar: Khaine
Exodite Eldar: Kornous (man would I love to see models and rules for these guys.... wood elves are my main fantasy army Sad

)

But Fantasy is a bit different in respect as to the relationship between the elf factions than 40k and the Eldar factions so I don't know.

The fluff is that basically he has her locked in his kitchen with his big cooking pot where he brews up plagues and diseases. When he thinks he has it right he force feeds her the concoction in order to watch all the pain and suffering it causes. Then, after her agonies, her godly nature heals her back to normal, so he can start the process again.

Her one revenge on him is that the tears of agony she cries contain the hints to cure the given toxin, and she sends those out into the universe hoping people will find them in time.

So, y'know, a usual cheery mixer at Papa Nurgle's place.
