Hey guys, I've been away from the game for several months and I now have the itch once again. Getting ready for first hit out in Feb. Wanting to run a predominately shooty list, here's what I've come up with so far.
 
 
Baron (Warlord)
Haemie, Liq
 
3 Trueborn, 2 Dark Lances in Venom, 2nd SC
3 Trueborn, 2 Dark Lances in Venom, 2nd SC
 
5 Warriors, Blaster in Venom, GTs, 2nd SC
5 Warriors, Blaster in Venom, GTs, 2nd SC
5 Wyches, HWG in Venom, 2nd SC
5 Wyches, HWG in Venom, 2nd SC
3 Wracks in Venom, 2nd SC
 
6 Reavers, 2 Heat Lances, Arena Champ w/ Power Lance
 
Ravager, 3 Dark Lances, FF
Ravager, 3 Dark Lances, FF
Ravager, 3 Dark Lances, FF

 
Farseer, Jetbike, Shard
 
3 GJB
3 GJB
 
1850
 
 
Pain token shenanigans between Baron/Wracks and Haemie/Reavers. Farseer joins Baron and Reavers as my main assault unit. The Wrack's Venom may be used either by them, by the Haemie (Flameboat) or for the 2nd TB unit. Mission dependant.  
 
Question: Can the Jetbikes still JSJ with the Baron attached to the unit?? (obviously maintaining coherency)
 
 
 
Questions/comments welcomed.
 
 
EDIT: Removed Warlock; cannot have them in Allied Detachment. I mean come on GW - what gives!?!

It depends who you're playing, but most people I know say yes they can still use their assualt phase jump.

As far your list goes, the reavers look a little out of place. They're really not that good of an assault unit, and their shooting is pretty negligible as well. Also your list looks like it's 24 points short (unless you forgot to list something, like GTs for the wyche/trueborn venoms or heat lances for the reavers). I'd probably drop the reavers, haemie, and wracks for either a big beast pack or Hellion unit. Hellions are very shooty, while beasts are very durable and both of those are much better assault units and provide a much better target for buffs from the farseer.

Haemie + Wracks + Reavers + 24 spare points = 331
19 Hellions + Helliarch w/Stunclaw = 319
5 Beastmasters, 15 Khymera, 4 Razorwings = 300

Well spotted good sir, thanks. I did forget to list the 2 Heat Lances.

As for your suggestion I will swap the Reavers for Beasts during the next few games and see who i think comes out on top

Hands down... beasts beat reavers. With the farseer/shard combo, there is no need to do pain token shenanagins either.

Thanks for the responses guys. So I've been able to work in 5 BMs, 13 K, 4 RWF and Nightshields on the 3 Ravagers and 2 Trueborn Venoms. First game can't Tau friend this weekend

Don't think you need that many dogs in the beast unit. 7-8 and 6 flocks should be enough for you to kick some serious butt with.
