| WHAT SAY WE GET THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD!! Ok, so I've started work onnthe primary ridiculous ride. I'm having qualms about what to build the escort out of, but I hope to come to that some time soon. For now, I'll focus on the ride. I've got a fairly certain picture in my head. For now, I;ve got the main frame. In the words of a recently convicted sex offender: "Can you tell what it is yet?" This is the main body, and will have some plastic drapped over it at places to form the upper armour plates. The gap between the two squared bolts has already got plastic wrapped around the bottom. This is where the rider him/herself will go, crouched forward in the Reaver rider style. THe flat ended bolt in the b0ttom right of the bottom picture will be front, and will have a more important (and hard to make) component making this even longer. More to come as it happens. | |

| This must be some next level stuff in the hobby. I can't imagine what this will all lead to, but it will definitely be epic and "Ahaaa!" moment. | |

| I am currently working on the components that will reveal all.
You wanted "ridiculous", and ridiculous you will get.

| Here it is. The giveaway that reveals exactly what I'm going for in terms of "RIDICULOUS". Enjoy. There it is. Work still to do: You can see the core idea now, so there should only be two missing components. The body has the cut out part halfway in on the upper side. This is where the rider will be. It'll be coming out of the hole (as though the legs are inside the ride body) with a piece of canopy covering their legs and lower back. Handles on the front perhaps. A shark-like fin on the top most likely. Also, a pair of fins will be added in the front half of the ride body, likely on the forward part of the rider section, under the rider themselves. In other news, its coming out larger than I originally planned. As a result, I have resolved that if I plan to use it in a game, its too big for much else, so I'll be using it as a Talos. I still have no idea what I'm doing for the escorts. | |

| I just thought I'd share:
The Ridiculous Ride is complete, rider and all. Escrots are underway, though I'm currently considering them a little "meh". Regardless, I appear to be on target for the deadline.

| Oh wow, Squidmaster strikes again! Cannot wait to see this. I'm about to start work on my own ridiculous ride, though I'm definitely doubting my abilities now! | |

| Ok. This is the final update of works in progress. I'll wait a couple of days before uploading imahes of the finished models. Wouldn;t want to give too much out all at one. Smiley face. Cheeky grin. Suspicious eyebrow movements. As a slight narrative, I got the stage where I couldn;t thinbk up anything really suitable for the escorts that I felt I could do in time. I didn;t have spare Reaver parts, or Hellions, or anythijng that really would have pleased me, so I put everything I really had into the ridiculous ride itself, and in my opinion went for a cop-out solution to the drones. I'm hoping its enough to see it through though, and that you like the work. | |

| COMPLETIONNOT THE ACTUAL COMPLETION! Seing as a little extra time was given, a few improvements are being made.Ok boys and girls. I believe we're at only four days until the deadline, so I think now is a good time to throw up the finished goods. Here is Xenala Sapax and the "Ridiculous Ride":And very simple escort drones:I'm thinking the drones could still do with some work to improve them and make them a bit more menacing, but I don't think I'll have the parts in time so I'm presenting them as is. Xenala him/herself is presented here riding his/her greatest creation, the Cyber-Shark. Equipped with anti-grav motors and the spirit of a lethal and dreaded Space Shark in a Soulstone, this monstrousity is almost a living form with only death and feeding on its mind. Xenala him/herself rides half-inside the beast, his/her legs operating the shark from within the covered rear section. Such is his/her fondness for the ride, he/she has even incorporated a large rear fin onto his/her own armour back plate to complete the fearsome but stylish look. It is my intention to use this in games as a Talos. It's too big to be the Baron (?!) of even a Beastmaster (though the idea of using it as a Clawed Fiend did pass my mind). The sheer scale of it though, screams to me Talos. Better, the fact that the rider is a Kabalite allows me to bring my Tali (Taloses?) back into my full Kabalite force. As always, comments of any kind are appreciated.

| Right. ACTUAL COMPLETIONSeeing as a bit of extra time was given, I made a few adjstments/improvements.
On Xenala him/herself (whom I am henceforth nicknaming "The Shark", I've gotten rid of the pistol arm which I wasn;t happy with and replaced it with another gripping arm. I've also changed the head, so he/she isn;t facing down anymore and is slightly more unique. The head is from the old metal Talos (which was loose and spare anyway) with some hair for decoration.
Further to that, I significantly improved the drones by giving them purpose. A couple of panel clips were stuck to the front, and clear plastic put in to represent shields, so now they are shield drones! An adequete protection for the great Archon/artificer! The shield parts are currently held in with tack, and will be clear after painting (maybe with some green edges to highlight the shielding).

| Apologies. I recently discovered that Photobucket has been scaling down most of my pictures. I'll be looking for a way to fix this for the future. | |
