| I don't suppose anyone has any information on how many datasheets and supplements GW is panning to release for the new DE codex. They have already announced covens, just wondering if there is anything to come after that. | |

| A Wych cult supplement seems most logical, and is what I would love to see. As all three major types of Dark Eldar organization are reflected in the core book, a Kabals codex would be great too.
What I'd be less excited about would be a book dedicated to a specific group - a Seventh Woe or Black Heart supplement, for example, though at least the latter might give us back Vect. I want to see books for all of us, particularly those of us who have created our own Cults and Kabals, before I see books for only those of us who are using specific Cults and Kabals detailed in the lore.
That said, I'm likely to buy any book about the Dark Eldar.

| Well they did Iyanden for Eldar, and various things for Chaos Space Marines, usually it appears to be extra fluff and rules to add a bit of depth.
Now you mention it though, I can see them doing a Vect miniature and datasheet as a stand alone release.

Now you mention it though, I can see them doing a Vect miniature and datasheet as a stand alone release. I think they'll do that together with a supplement for the Black Heart Kabal

| Indeed, I question the logic of supposedly removing him as a playable character. | |

| Ya, let's remove the main character, that's a great idea. No wait let's go one better, let's remove almost all of the special characters and not give any skyboard or jetbike option. Ya that's the idea. Keep 'em coming, we'll make this the best codex release since the Dark Angels. Sorry for the sarcasism guys. I'm really gonna give it a go tho. There has to be a way to use this beautiful army since I own so much of it. Now I have a Lady Malys conversion that will become an Archon, a Baron conversion that will be, well nothing. Glad I hadn't built my Vect and dais conversion. Can't wait til the bat reps coming pouring in, now that I'm anxious for. | |

| I have my vect conversion, he will be a lowly normal archon for the time being.
I can see them doing supplements or data slate for quite a lot of stuff as GW does seem to be very much £££££ orientated.

| I'm aware of that but they do seem to put ££££ before the game to a degree, and they are pushing people away. If gifts for geeks in the uk and one or two other outlets can sell GW stuff for 20% off rrp GW could too and still make a good profit. I know they are trying to keep their IP by removing characters that do not have models, but if they looked at it the other way they have people doing the design work and making the moulds for them! They could affiliate with people who do this or buy the design from them then sell through their own site. | |

| Covens has been announced, I got to look at it a bit when my friends limited edition arrived at the store earlier. From what I saw, it is mostly formations that you can take, fluff, and more pictures.
One Formation requires you take a haemonculous/cronos/talos as a single unit One formation is 2 venoms and 2 wrack squads, that must deepstrike
Everyformation has the special rule that all enemies in 12" suffer a -1 to LD
Still no way to make Wracks troops from what I could see

| According to another thread on here, the Coven detachment requires 2 HQ and 2 Elites, with an optional 4 HQ, 6 Elite, and 4 Heavy Support. So if you choose that detachment, you can't even take Troops (or Fast Attack), but you get lots of Elites instead. | |

| I am kind of pessimistic we'll get another book. Even Eldar only got one supplement, right? And they have a larger player base and thus yield more expected profit than we do. For now, I'll just accept that my Wyches are useless.
We'll see. | |

| Im really disappointed. But thats just me because I dislike the coven. Haemis got nice fluff and all but please let them stay in their labs und provide me tools of destruction and reincarnation.
If I wanted to play a bunch of mutated and ugly freaks I would play Nurgle CSM.

| I want to get the coven and wych cult supplements. Also I will try to adapt the characters for 7th ed dex in a datasheet for everyone who want to use them in friendly matches. | |

| I read some unfounded speculation somewhere that GW's plan was to update everybody's codex, possibly with an initial supplement, before releasing additional supplements. I don't know if that updated status would include the 6th ed codices or not, but it seems reasonable either way.
Unfortunately, "reasonable" is not a word that I associate with GW, and I have not forgotten how long we waited for our 5th ed book.

| so there will be a bit of time for them to create some cool stuff before additional DE releases, well that does sound very reasonable | |

Anyways, if the archons and succubi are largely convertable I'll be fine with the loss of characters.
