Confusion regarding coven supplement. Please help!

Can I take a formation from this book and use it's pfp instead of the codexes, if all I bring is the coven formation and not it's detachment? If so, can I use the realspace raiders detachment from the main codex as my main detachment only and this oration in a bound army?

Yes to all of that!

A formation is a detachment, so the rules for Coven detachments apply to the Coven formations. The only difference is that you have to take them as they are: you can't add or substract anything from them.

I haven't figured out my main (codex) detachment yet, but I know I'm going to be using the formation of Haemy + Cronos + Talos along with it!

HQ:

Urien
Haemunculus

Troops:

5 warriors; venom
5 warriors; venom

Elites:

10 wracks, liquifier; raider
10 wracks, liquifier; raider
10 wracks, liquifier; raider
4 grotesques; raider (with haemy, and Urien)

Fast attack:

5 scourges, 4 haywire blaster
5 scourges, 4 haywire blaster

Venom, dual cannons
Venom, dual cannons

Razorwing jetfighter, dark lances
Razorwing jetfighter, dark lances

Heavy support:
Voidraven bomber, night sheilds, dark scythes, missles

Using the following formation:
Haemunculus, 3 units of wracks, 3 raiders. Gives haemy master of pain to units within 12"

Using the following detachment:
Real space raiders, 1 hq, 2 troops, 1-6 fast attack, 1 heavy, 0-3 elites.


Also can I use the pfp table from the book of my choice?

The Realspace Raiders detachment uses the pfp table from the codex, and the coven formation uses the one from the supplement... dude
