Any idears for other bodyguard models then the Sslyth?

Hey,

since the court was getting nice rules in the new codex, I was thinking Archon would surely collect only the best bodyguards of the known galaxy, there must be other races present. And as the Sslyths only have one pose, why not some "count as Sslyth" models in the court?

Are there any good miniatures around which someone can recommend? Any nice conversions you found out there in the web? Maybe some idea's you have for them?

The models should fit the stats and the base of the Sslyth, so first thing I was thinking of was some Ork Nobs. What do you think?

I originally had plans to use an Ogre Kingdom model with close combat weapons and had a Grot standing on his shoulders with a Shard Carbine

ive used  some of the bigger lizardmen models,  I use the rifles in pouches from the raider's sprue  and just attach it to their back or belt

Be a man and buy 9 Sslyth =))) Power demand sacrifice.

You can remodel them with hot water. You can do that on all finecast minis, just very carefull.

Buy reaper bone legend or whatever snakemen. Just add carbine arms. Maybe a little plasticard armour and I might personally shorten the necks with some cutting. Like 2-3$ a mini.

Personally, I think the GW Bloodwrack Medusa has scope.  Problem is, you have to buy the Cauldron of Blood at £45 to get one.  That model could also make for some fun conversions (I'm thinking of combining the bowl and statue with two raider hulls for a custom Tantalus), but it's still an expensive way to get one Sslyth. Or you could pay £20 to get one from an ebay bits merchant.

Have you thought about wraithguard? Dark Eldar-ized in some way

Any sort of bulky-ish model (to represent the S/T5) would be fine... just shoulder-mount the carbine if it doesn't have 4 arms.

What size base does the Sslyth come on? I was always confused about that - never saw one in stores.

That's a great way of working castigators into a all DE army. Proxy them as slyths.
