2k for tournament

So to behin with this list has been edited a few times, hopefully to the better. The tournament i am going to has some rules like troops does not count as scoring while sitting inside a dedicated transport. Transports can't contest objectives at all so thats why the ravagers got a prow each. Just to have the chance to move someone off a objective in the last turn and contest or even claim if i have something else close by.

There are several other rules to that really changes the whole game but i'l get into that later on in a post.

looks solid, only thing I would change is keep the DL on the Razorwing, but I always prefer to have those extra lances just in case. I know the plane is AI all the way, its just while you have less attacks, you have a higher strength (which is great against MCs) and it allows you to threaten tanks if need be.

Hi. Hehe yes the razorwing is pretty much doable either way, its really just about your preference. I am not sure i will run it with the disintigrators. I did in the game against BA but i'm thinking about letting the model get his lances back. To be honest i would rather field a voidraven bomber but i dont got a model to use for it so.

If i could get a model to use as the Voidraven i would drop the Baron and get a archon with a blaster insteed. Actually i am already thinking about dropping him for a archon with blaster, shadowfield and a weapon perhaps. Any suggestions on a bomber? Ive been looking at the phoenix from FW but £67 is a bit pricy,

A few friends have just been running the razorwing as the bomber, but we havent been to any tournaments yet, so Idk about its legality. Im pretty sure no one will argue if you say its the bomber, as there is no model for it yet, but Id ask first.

Ive also seen the void phoenix as the void raven, but I dont think its going to look like that personally... Although our razorwing does make a cool conversion to a nightwing... so who knows.

Aye. I will contact the tournament organiser and see what he has to say. Most likely there wont be any problems. A friend brought a dragon and played as a Manticore in Fantasy a year ago and he let that one slide so. I just dont want to bring the Razorwing to the table and have people being confused if it is a Razorwing or a Voidraven bomber. But i'l definitly look into it.

If i am going to keep the lances on the third heavy choice i could aswell upgrade the razorwing into a voidraven. Getting AV 11 and not being open topped along with str 9 lances would be sweet. I do know that bringing a third ravager would be optimal but i need to do a few minor changes from the standard choices, otherwise i wont be able to field it without being bored.

That's a lot of Wyches built just to tarpit and Haywire. When I pull tactics like that I only ever take 5 Wych squads - what is your plot with the larger units? Why do you need the extra bodies?

The big "issue" with the list I see is that it feels very well built to kill infantry and not very well built to kill vehicles. You're better than a lot of lists I see, considering you're actually working in some extra lances over blasters, but at the same time there are a lot of points dedicated to killing infantry.

If it was me I'd probably want to switch two Venoms to Raiders or maybe the Razorwing to a Ravager and then amp up the Wych squads with Succubi.

The big question to my mind is why 8 Haywire Wyches - it really depends on what you're using them for but I foresee them as not optimal for it.

So i had another game yesterday against my friends black templars. It was a pretty huge win for the Dark Eldars but a few things came to me after the game. Do i really need that baron? I think i can manage without him. The option is to bring in a fighting archon with shadow field, djin blade, drugs and blaster perhaps. If not i can just take a liquifier haemonculus and use the rest of the points to upgrade the razorwing into a voidraven bomber.

I'm on a vacation right now but i'l give it some thought. In a week or so i will have a chance to try the new setup up, i'l get back to you then.

baron is nice to give one of your beast squads stealth, other than that I dont see a reason to him, but he is also cheaper than any Archon build... so I think he is fine

List has been updated in first post and is most likely close to what it will end up as for the upcoming tournament. Any thoughts?

Yeah i guess but i have a urge to run a voidraven bomber and actually after playing a few games with the boats i think i can enjoy it if just only for one tournament hehe.

Its me who messed up. The wyches have raiders.


But speedy what do you think about my next idea for a tournament. Aiming to travel south for some tourny this winter. I want to try to play comp more, i really like the RT system.

Baron
3 x 5 incubis or harlies
3 x 3 wracks in venoms
3 units of Hellions
2-3 units of scourges
2 razorwings
1 voidraven

So im giving this list another go tomorrow. As i feel it is pretty importent for such a list like this to begin the baron will be coming along and the Voidraven vill be downgraded into a disintigrator Razorwing. I will be facing Space Wolfs - Logan Wing so well see how it go. Last game we have resulted in a 19-1 win for me but there are many things that can change that outcome.

I feel pretty comfortable to play this kind of a list. Just wish i had the models painted to bring something alot more goofie, but i'm going to bring that alon for the next 2k tournament around, perhaps the harlequins will be back by then.

The list as it is looks just half as fun as what im used to play but whe it comes to the table i get alot more exited when i realize its nothing more then paper planes flying around trying to do damage.


EDIT Todays game was cancelled so i am just waiting for someone to take me on.


EDIT no 2 The list has been updated into the latest version. I descided i want the Baron around. The bonus to go first is incredible and i really enjoy that but also does he bring grenades to a beast unit or the incubis when needed and he can pretty much wander away on his own locking things up.

I have had the chance to play two games with this list and both were major victorys to the Dark Eldar. I'm looking forward to fight a few more before we go to the tournament.
