| Can flyers use their "flat out" move to leave combat air space in the shooting phase or does it need to be in their movement phase (using their normal movement)? The rule book states that only a zoomingt flyer can leave the board but isn't "flat out" considered as a zooming move? | |

| You can absolutely use a Flat Out move to leave combat airspace. Totally legit. | |

| Zooming is used in contrast to hovering in this respect I think - you can flat out off the board as far as I'm aware, just not on the same turn as you arrived (might be worth double-checking, haven't really looked at that this edition) | |

| That's correct. It's the same as a 'Swooping' FMC. It applies the entire time you are in that 'mode'.
It's basically saying that something that can swap to Hover as a Skimmer like a Valkyrie can't leave the board using Skimmer movement. | |

| Unfortunately there is no where on a standard sized table where you can't do a 90 degree turn, and move 36" off the table. Surpersonic, a great fluff rule, it just dosen't translate to anything worthwhile in game terms. | |
