| Is Kheradruakh the only named Mandrake character, so far, please? If not, where can I find fluff on the other(s)?
Thank you.

| I almost swear I've read another Mandrake name somewhere - but it was a throwaway comment like 'killed by Billy-bob, the fell Mandrake assassin' and nothing more.
They are exceedingly not fleshed out in the fluff. _________________ The Title Troupe! - Nom fellow posters for custom titles.

| Xoruakh and Azoruakh The Mandrake kings in `Path of the Archon`

| So, Kheradruakh, Xoruakh and Azoruakh?
If one was to create a new, fictional Mandrake name, it just has to end in -ruakh? That's "rrrrrue" with a wee Scottish burr, and "ach" with a nice guttural cough at the end.
Thanks everyone. _________________ Mod Squad Forum rules, please read ................. or else we release the Khymerae! The Serpents' Breath - the Dark Eldar corsair scourge Hive Fleet Void Riven & WIP thread

| I was just thinking those two mandrake kings (as well as their spelling!).
Those were the only two mandrakes (in addition to the Decapitator himself) in that book, though. I don't think at least there were any other mandrakes mentioned. So yeah, if you want to meet ALL the mandrakes, you just need one book. _________________ THE KABAL OF LOST HONOUR

| Path of the Archon was a true eyeopener.
Mandrakes do seem to have structured armies.
Those 2 mandrakes lords were very different from Kheradruakh, he just seems to be a hunter, collecting his heads, while the 2 lords behaved like proper dark eldar, wanting to grab power.
They had normal mandrakes under them and elite mandrakes, as well as Ur ghul squads, quite interesting specialist army, I'd love to heard more about it.
Heamonculi in fluff also have very different army structures than in the codex or either the supplement, though the supplement does get in very close to reality.
Scourges also had their own army structure going on with a Scourge lord, shortly mentioned.
Incubi have the same thing with their Incubi Hierarch at the top of eahc temple. Not quite as strong as Drahzar, but still a lot stronger than your average incubi.

| For some reason I feel like I read about a Mandrake assassin hunting a Space Marine or something of the like in a SM book. Or maybe it was a Gaunt's Ghost novel. Don't think he had a name, but he was pretty badass from what I remember. | |

Kheradruakh makes it clear that something was wrong though. They weren't behaving like Mandrakes because of the influence of chaos. He found it wrong and against their ways to be squabbling over a meaningless throne as if they were normal Eldar. _________________ "Oh how awful, did he at least die painlessly? To shreds you say? He found it wrong and against their ways to be squabbling over a meaningless throne as if they were normal Eldar. I think the book actually also hinted that Kherry (I got to figure out how to shorten his name somehow) also had an interest of some kind for one of the chaos gods in particular when he was examining the skulls of both of those mandrakes afterward. Been a while since I read the book so I don't remember which one he took first and by which chaos god the kings were corrupted but I remember that he discarded the first one and kept the second one for his own collection? _________________ THE KABAL OF LOST HONOUR

| They where corrupted by tzeentch and nurgle, he killed the tzeentch one first. He kept both skulls and put them opposite each other in his trophy room if I recall correctly. | |

| There was also a mandrake in one of the Grey Knight books who was pretending to be a regular Eldar... though that was the one and only time I've ever heard a mandrake being able to completely change his appearance | |
