Anti psychic tactics

Pure Dark Eldar don't have and psychic abilities, which is fine, I like fluff. I also like the fluff of the crucible of malediction and the helm of Spite. Has anyone had any success running an anti psychic army? Or is it better to spend the points on more guns?

The Helm is a nice insurance policy, and reasonably costed. Personally, I think the Crucible isn't worth the points. My preference for anti-psyker tactics (I have a psyker heavy meta) is to bring My own psykers, usually allied Eldar.

Helm of Spite and a Culexus Assassine does work wonders.

Helm of spite is fun, but my main anti-psyker tactic is to kill the psyker, and fast. Y'know, the Dark Eldar way.

I love Helm and use Culexus some times (background are so background) to fight psykers.

Oh, and i`ve got the question. If my opponent rolls two or more doubles when manifesting psychic powers does he suffer more perils than one from helm of spite?

I would say no - it's one perils if you roll a double, not one per double

I'm considering bringing allied quins into my list and since I have to bring a death jester anyways Ithought, why not throw in the eye of the laughing god. Though it is just worse than the helm of spite for 5 less points hmmm. Perhaps I don't need both the mask of secrets and armour of misery and I could take the helm of spite instead?

@devilogical no, in the usual Perils rule it's not actually "Perils of the Warp on a double 6", it's one PotW "if two or more dice were 6s"

So extend that to "if two or more dice are the same, one PotW"

I take the helm if it's an enemy faction withs psykers I'm likely to want to get close to and fight. IG and that. If it's more likely to be some type of combat master mega armoured whopper I don't bother with it and try to kill ASAP.

Kill the battaries first, deathstar later. That is speaking of psyker army.
If its just psyker, one or two, splinter shot to the head is the best anti-psyker tool.

against Invisibility, Reavers can do something

For those who have used Culexus: is it better to run him in a pure DE force or allied with CE? Also, do you infiltrate him or put him in a venom? (If you can even do that, not sure on the rules) lastly: what do you run as a counter assult unit with him, because he is eventually gonna be in assult as you want him to be 12 inches away from a Psycher to use his abilities.
