850 Pts Local Tournament

Alright! So I've come across this local tournament about a week ago and undaunted by the fact that I have played a grand total of 3 games since my 6 year absence from 40k,  I decided to boldly sign up for it! If all fails it should at least be a good learning experience!

It'd be great if some more experienced players could throw in their 2 cents!

Here's the restrictions: 850pts, Highlander except for troops, no more than 1 flying monstrous creature, no supplements, no formations, no forge world models. Small tables.

4 special objective based missions, 6 turns, 18 participants (grey knights, tau, dark eldar, astra m...)


And here's my proposed list:

Succi with Archite Glaive, Armour of Misery, Haywire Grenades

10 Warriors in Raider with Splinter Racks and Night Shield
5 Warriors in Venom, Splinter Cannon

4 Grots in Raider with Aberration, Dark Lance on Raider

6 Jetbikes with Cluster Caltrops

3 Lance Ravager

you have 5 grotesques in the Raider? if so drop one to make room for Succubus. Take HWG Sybarite to big squad. And blaster for the little one. And perhaps sails to grot raider. Those grots really need IC to babysit them. LD3/4 is a killer (spychick shriek, pinning tests etc.)

The Grots are 4, the Succi will ride with them and babysit them.

What would you drop for the Sybarites and the weapons? I guess I could free up 10 points from the Aberration, but other than that?

Dark lance from grots ride.
It's never going to shoot so that it matters. T1 it is dead or flat outing. After that there might be chance.

I guess you're right, plus it gives me another Disintegrator to shoot at TEQ and MEQ units. Dropped the Aberration and the lance and added a blaster, thanks!

The bread I can't really take credit for, although I did enter the search term into google. I guess at the time I was looking for something more... intimidating, but oh well... Dark Artisan is my favourite formation after all. Did you every try it? The bread I mean
