| So I need help figuring out what would be a hard counter to a list. The list is something along the lines of 3 tyrants, 1 medusa, 4 objective secured troops with blasters, 7 total venoms, a ravager, and a reaper. What would give this list fits? Thanks for the feedback. | |

| So it's unbound? How can he have three tyrants?
Do an army solely built from Leman Russ tanks.

You call 4 Blasters, a Ravager and a Reaper "hardly any AT"?! Against that list, which I can only assume is unbound with 3 Tyrants, the hard counter is as CptMetal suggests - Leman Russ firing line.

| Yeah, IG parking lot looks like a super solid option. Doesn't even really need to be all Lemans, as Chimeras with some lads inside could be pretty solid. Valks also.
The main point being he has limited anti-tank and massive anti-infantry tools. An IG gunline featuring vehicles is basically immune to the Venoms, and can focus fire on the things that can hurt them, and will easily have enough firepower to basically wipe the Ravager and Reaper within one turn of firing. At that point it's shoot down Tyrants (I presume they're flying) and any Blasters that get close enough while basically sitting on some objectives. Done.
Also, frankly, a nicely put together Grey Knight list looks like it has some possibilities here. Some Purifier drop with Cleansing flame could basically wipe out every Venom in one turn, and the force weapons could actually intimidate the Tyrants a bit. Toss in some extra shooting support and an assault tool or two and the entire army looks like it could crumble fast.
Another thought, and going to just the top tourney winners - Adamantine Lance Knights would roflstomp this list as they really exemplify everything the list is bad against. (Venoms become useless, Tyrants want to stay away, able to smash basically anything in it) also, the classic Eldar Serpentspam would do a number - again, being vehicles that the enemy army will have trouble killing while being able to kill their targets quite easily. Frankly, six Serpents with some dudes inside look like they could basically sweep that list all by themselves.
I also think my usual sort of DE list is, while not a hard counter, certainly a counter capable of eating it up - My army is a mechanized shooting army (note a theme here in some of these other hard counters?) but my army has more anti-mech shooting - so I would destroy his anti-mech long before he got mine, and would then also be a mobile force with lots of poison and MSU to hinder and whittle the tyrants while being invincible to any Venom that lacked a Blaster which I could kill at my leisure.
I suppose my core answer is - mechanized shooting lists that also have tools that can stop flying Hive Tyrants (which IG, DE, Eldar, Necrons, et al have plenty of) will basically stomp this list - as it is a list built to murder infantry but only handle light to moderate mech threats.

| Mechanized Tau. Tau can shoot those Flyrants down in no time and the DE part is too small to compensate the loss of firepower those Flyrants make agaisnt Tau. I'm not afraid of land raiders as those Flyrants can relatively easy kill those in a very short time. MSU mechanized IG would be difficult too.

| So what would be a way to fix those weaknesses of lack of anti tank? Would another ravager be better instead of 2 venoms? | |

Do you have lots of LOS blockin terrain or do you play on open field? Do you play Maelstrom or Eternal or both? One Ravager normally doesn't make a difference. Those two Venoms (obsec?) are better in maestrom than ravager even if they don't kill a lot in those games.

| The 2 venoms are not obsec they are fast attack, it is a combo of modified maelstrom with eternal with eternal being worth 2 points more, not much LOS blocking terrain but some. | |
