| Greetings, I hope this is the right part of the forum for it. I just wanted to share my first unit of Wracks and a Haemonculus after not having painted for over 10 years. According to the codex description, all the Scarlet Epicureans are flayed, so I thought, let's try and make it as gruesome as possible. Wish my phone camera was a little sharper and that I had a befitting background.

Whomever said that must be missing a few marbles haha Did a new one today; bit of a shame though that I don't have a decent camera for it: (and a friend advised me against using a flasher as it clouds the details)

Cant wait for Pain Engines. Same here, but my wallet is very much against it haha. I'm making pictures of all my hundreds of old models; 80% hasn't even been painted yet. (I was young and my eyes wanted more than I would eventually wind up doing with) Hoping I can sell models for €1,- a piece or something.

Whomever said that must be missing a few marbles haha That'd be me. I'm salty because a few bits from mine snapped while I was cutting them from the sprue. And also because the model is unnecessarily difficult to convert, hard to paint after gluing any bits together, and not as good looking as the model it replaced imo. Anyway, I'm glad it worked for you.

Anyway, I'm glad it worked for you. You seriously liked the old models better? Well there's always room for personal opinions. When I saw these new Haemonculi I had to go to the bathroom for a while Converting them is not really something I did. Yeah I added some arms from the Wracks to them, but that's not really converting I suppose. For my next models I will actually go and paint them while they are still in the sprue's and the parts that didn't get painted will be a great target for spots to get bloody after assembly.

| I dig the Hell Raiser style puzzle box in the second haemies hand and dig the cruciform pose as well, the extra arms really set it off. | |

| They look amazing. Do you have any more pictures of your haemonculus (the one in the big picture)? I'd especially like to see how you joined those other arms to him. | |

| I really like your colour scheme. It seems quite simple (in terms of colours - I'm not saying it was easy to paint ), but it's very effective. | |

| Man, at this level, you ought to do some Painting Tutorial. I mean you practically robbing the world of the valuable insight )
Color selection is very striking.
Also Grots conversion is off the chart of coolness.

| Thanks guys I only need to paint 3 more Talos after today and then I'm done with my entire army. I've got a friend with a professional studio to get some quality pictures which I hope will give a slightly better impression of what they look like. I decided to buy the original Grot models because it just supplements the synergy of the Wracks and the Pain / Parasite engines. Those Ratogre End Time models seem cool, but it somehow doesn't feel entirely right for me personally. And it also provided me with a chance to do some conversions. The color scheme is indeed actually very simple! Black, Silver, Red, Skin and Bone, BUT for each color i've used 5 different layers including washes and drybrushing and on top of that piled a crap of blood over them because, well they should look like a "freakish spectacle" You probably wouldn't believe that this is the first time I'm actually painting models. I've never done this before since 3 weeks. Giving tutorials would seem a little, over confident I feel. | |

| Well, ok. A bit of critique - one of the Talos have really hasty preparation, mold line is very visible. But overall its way better then average. Or your friend is magician with the camera. | |

But overall its way better then average. Or your friend is magician with the camera. That's actually because I basecoat and fully paint the parts while they are still inside the sprue. This has some advantages and those moldlines as disadvantages. Id normally would have used liquid green stuff but using this on fully painted models didn't seem like a good idea. I made this pics with a simple Samsung phone. Better pictures will come probably next week

The Silver and Blood is an interesting combination - it actually makes it quite hard to pinpoint the original colour, if you see what I mean. Could you tell me how you did their skin? I find skin a bastard to paint at the best of times.
