So, I'm starting up in a Kill Team campaign, and I was looking at our units, surprisingly limited with the area to go with, so I'm looking at this, tell me what you think

KT 200/200
5x Scourge
1 Dark lance (indomitable specialist:relentless)
1 Heat lance (guerilla specialist: infiltrate)
1 splinter cannon (weapons specialist: sniper)
1 shredder
1 carbine

Nightfiend (team leader)
4x mandrakes

The idea was to mix up the available saves to deal with incoming problems, the relentless lance for ranged kill power, infiltrating HL for emergency transport busting, and the sniper cannon for dice manipulation "rending" (the S4 for vehicles is handy too, the extra chance to glance rear is there)

If you ever face Tyraniden Warriors with those ignore cover weapon, you're toast. I absolutely hate those. I'd try something with as many Jetbikes as possible. But I don't know if that would work, not tested yet. Keep us updated how it turned out.

The only ignore cover weapon in the tyranid book is the impaler cannon on the Hive guard. Luckily, it is more than 25% of allotted points for one model with 2 wounds and a 4+ save, just about anything i have can deal with that. Now, giving a warrior the ignore cover specialist...just gotta kill it.

Much as I love bikes, they are extremely reliant on that jink to save them, and just a cover isnt going to do it i don't think.

I head out in a week for this, so we'll see.

I've gvot a kill team tournament at my club tomorrow, was also thinking about using scourges, I wouldn't be a huge fan of the mandrakes as backup, but not sure what else you could get that would be decent for the points you have left, certainly the scourges will be doing your heavy lifting.

I've used bikes in kill team before, though it was under the previous codex and they were awesome - the old bladevane rules frustrated the hell out of the Tau player who brought crisis suits, he couldn't get close enough to do any real damage and I just buzzed over him every turn waiting for him to fail his saves. Did quite well in that one until I came up against a guy who'd figured out my strategy and just sat all his models back up in a corner of the board so I couldn't fly over him.
