| If you're deep striking/being aggressive with your trueborn, throw them in a raider (WWP optional). If you're keeping them back as a counter strike unit, put them in a venom. | |

| I have to say that I like both. Previously, I ran Blasterborn in a Venom, deep struck in behind transports, popped the transports with the blasters, then shred the occupants with dual-splinter cannons. I've got a tournament coming up in which I am putting the Blasterborn and a Blaster Archon in a DL Raider, and putting the bog standard warrior squads in the venoms to keep the AT hunting tanks and the AI hunting infantry. Plus, since this tournament is modified Maelstrom, I can keep the smaller, hide-able Venoms Obj Secured. It's easier to stick them on an objective and avoid enemy fire, than it is with the tall-ship profile of the Raider. | |

| I always use a unit of 5 with 4 blasters and I almost always deepstrike them, so I prefer Venoms (really hard to mishap with it due to its small size).
I generally use Raiders with nightshield just for three categories: - Bulky models - Close combat models - Priority targets
My blasterborn are not the biggest threat in my army

Generally Eldar Allies XD My biggest threat are Wraithguards (Raider with Nightshields for them) and a Farseer in a big unit of Reavers. Depending on the game some people consider more threatening than Blasterborn even Haywire Scourges and/or a Medusae on Venom. Sometimes approaching CC unit are another bigger threat.

| I like to put them in a raider with shields and a disintegrator together with an Archon with WWP and blaster. I have had some luck with deep striking them behind enemy lines and targeted rear armor with the disintegrator to remove a hull point or two or force a jink, while the blasters whiff at a different target. | |

| I am a big fan of Blastborn and Archon in Raider deep striking. They are great at Tank killing, Especially since I had a unit of Blasterborn get the Kill on 3 Knights in 1 Game, 2 turns.
Turn 2 Deepstrike in, Kill 1 Knight. Turn 2 Opponent shoots raider with Night shields and doesn't kill it, Charges and blows up raider. Turn 3 Trueborn move into building and fire at knight that charged there raider killing it. Turn 3 Opponent Charge with last knight into that unit, thinking they all ready had done enough. 6 to hit, 6 to Pen, 2 to save, 6 to cause 4 total wounds (all ready had 3 wounds from other firing.)

| Even with 4 blasters, 2 dark lances (snapfiring) and an archon with a blaster, the odds of killing even one Knight are fairly slim, let alone 3! Were you rolling a lot of 6's on the damage table? | |

| They were not the only ones shooting at these knights. I had 2 Dark Lance Ravagers and 1 Haywire Scourge on the board as well and 3 Venoms w\Warriors + blaster. The Trueborn just got the killing blows on them all. Sorry if my first post was misleading. This was an 1850 Point game. 4 Blasters + 1 Archon Blaster I got the first knight with 4 glances/Pens with no Saves, plus it was already down 2 hull point. Second knight had 2 turns of 2 Dark Eldar Ravagers pounding on it, it only had 1 HP left when the trueborn took it out. Third knight was unbelievably lucky when he charged me, 6 to hit, 6 to Pen, 2 to save, 6 to cause 4 total wounds (all ready had 3 wounds from other firing.) Still an impressive feat for 1 unit of trueborn. 300ish points killing over 1000. | |

| Raider 1) IF I wanted my Archon in it 2) Raider has AT weapon or Anti-Heavy infantry (Terminators etc..)
If your playing allies, WWP Archon with Fire Dragons are better IMO.
