Showcase threads for Tactics and Exhibitions

Could I suggest that we create stickied posts in both the Tactics and the Exhibitions threads for posts on one particular topic to accumulate? (if it can be done without making the non-stickies too far down the page and out of sight)

e.g.; in Tactics, have one thread dedicated to each unit and, to save space, the different classes of weapons, such as Vehicle Weapons and Arcane Wargear. This would eventually lead to a wealth of information in one, easy-to-find location without having to wade through an entire army-wide tactica to hopefully find what you are in need of.

And in Exhibitions, again have a thread dedicated to each unit and vehicle type. Members would still have their own project logs and threads, of course, to showcase their individual work, but this would be a nice way to showcase all of the different Raiders together, for example, and perhaps also link to inspirational examples found elsewhere.

With respect to Gobsmakked, I disagree with this. There would be about 25-30 stickied threads. It would be cumbersome to post on several topics, especially as many will intertwine. There already is a very good post in the tactics section that breaks down the Codex into its components.

But, this is just my opinion.

On the other hand, there could be a sticky thread which contains links to all the "Show us your..." threads.

I was looking at the Herdstone when reasearching the forum and thought a Show Us Your... forum would be a good idea. I've held off on this idea for now until we gain more members as I dont want the forum to be too large; you'll notice I've been adding more forums each week.

Personally I think the Show... forum is a double edged sword. It would be a great forum to seek inspirational images. Want to see everyone's Venoms, there's a thread. From a negative point of view I dont like the fact that each thread becomes a trawl and become full of replies rather than threads. I'll leave you guys to discuss this.

Archon is correct, it could easily lead to an excessive number of stickied threads if not planned cunningly enough.

Each would require it's own sub-forum and in the case of a "Show us ..." thread it would have to be just for pics, with comments ruthlessly weeded out (they should go in the related project thread instead.

I will look elsewhere and see if I can find some good examples to share.

I agree with everyone else’s comments. It would make the forum excessively cluttered.

I had to post one of my topics under Random Musings, although it would have been better in a "Grumps" section. Sorry to start this post with a negative but a forum like that is a good place to let of steam, with people who are disgruntled about the same thing.

It might be better if the "Painting & Modelling Discussion" forum was split into two separate forums such as Painting and Modelling/Conversions Haemonculi Workshop!! < (Completely forgot that it was the overall title for those groups... ) Some other suggestions if you were going to split that forum are "Surgery" or "Experiement Room" something along those lines anyway...
