| After a long time in WFB I decided to move up to Wh40k. I picked DE and this is the list I want to go for in a 1000 points. Comments are welcome. I think the points add up (don`t have AB here)
HQ: Haemonculus: Venom Blade, Liquifier
Troops: 2x 5 Warriors, Blaster, Venom, Splinter Cannon
7x Wych, Shardnet, Hekatrix, Agoniser, Haywire grenades, Raider, Flickerfield
Fast Attack: 5x Scourge, 2x Haywire Blaster
3x Reaver Jetbikes, Blaster
Heavy: Ravager, Flickerfield
Razorwing Jetfighter, Flickerfield, Splinter Cannon

good solid HQ choice with low point cost. I assume he starts with wyches to give them a token and stays on board when the wyches leave? Since he would slow them down without a fleet rule. This renders the Venom blade a bit useless
Troops: 2x 5 Warriors, Blaster, Venom, Splinter Cannon
This is fine
7x Wych, Shardnet, Hekatrix, Agoniser, Haywire grenades, Raider, Flickerfield
It is okay, but since this is only 1000 points I think the Hekatrix with all its upgrades is a bit to pricy. Shardnet is not that effective as it only effects models in base contact, so unless you face lots of multi attacks models, this is no that good as is sounds.
You also have redicilous low amount of troop choices, even for 1000 pts. I think I saw it in someone's post or sig on this forum "Why would you pick a FA if you still haven't used all troop slots". I couldn't agree more. We have very useful troops.
Fast Attack: 5x Scourge, 2x Haywire Blaster
can't tell, no experience with these
3x Reaver Jetbikes, Blaster
can't tell, no experience with these
Heavy: Ravager, Flickerfield
Razorwing Jetfighter, Flickerfield, Splinter Cannon
heavy slots are okay
In general I would say to take more troops in stead of fast attack, and take another ravager with DL's. I'm not saying your list wont work, I'm merely saying it could be more effective IMO. | |

| I'm mostly just going to give a +1 to BlackRaven. I think more Troop and less Fast would work quite well for you. Also, just be cognizant that the Razorwing is an anti-infantry tool - and I'm personally not sure if it will still be a good option by the time you're done getting more Troops (I'm not sure if it's good right now with the list as stands). | |

| So basically what your saying is... change the Razorwing into another Ravager and drop bikes or scourges for more infantry, right? 10 Warriors with blaser, SC and Raider with Flickerfield for example? | |

| That is indeed an example! okay seriously, 10 warriors could do it. But I would never send just one group of CC in, always make 2 of them, at the least. But if you really want to go shooty, I suppose a raider gunboat would work. Appart from that, it really depends on the rest atm. everything except for the wyches, heamonculus and are AI, the blasterwarriors and the one ravager, the scourges and the JB's are AT. So switching the razorwing means you have even less AI. Try to make a new list here and we'll see how it all comes down. | |
