| So my FLGS is also the annual host of the now ITC major event "the storm of silence" and I'm trying to have a great list to try and take the cake this year. Here is what I got could use all the wisdom for this one please and thank you!
DE CAD Hq Archon wwp 95 Troops 3x5 warriors 120 3 venoms 195 Heavy Ravager 110 Ravager 110 Ravager 110 Fast Raider night shields 70 Raider night shields 70
CWE cad Hq Autarch with fusion gun scorpion chain sword 83 Troops 2x3 scatter bikes 162 Elite 5 wraith guard d scythes 210 Heavy Warp hunter D-flail, shuriken cannon 185
Aspect host formation 5 fire dragons exarch 120 5 warp spiders exarch 105 5 warp spiders exarch 105
If I don't play anything with interceptor I have the option of putting the webway with the wraiths or dragons as needed. If there is interceptor or the wraiths are better off driving on (sky hammer or drop pod heavy people) they will chill in the raider.

| The list looks pretty good.
One thing that is wrong in the list is that a warp hunter with shuriken cannon cost more points. The hunter is 185 base.
I am a big fan of disintegrator ravagers as they really do some solid work.
The only thing I would be a little concerned about it a lack of ranged AT at the start of the game. The warp hunter is pretty good at that, but a little more would be really good at making your opponent deploy a little more cautiously.

| Hmm battle scribe must have lied to me it's says the cannon is 0 but not a big deal. I'm going off my experience but I very very rarely ever see more than 2 transport vehicles. And if I do it's against a dark eldar players and I don't have trouble popping theirs. Things I see more are LOW's/ GMC's, drop pods and MC's. The dragons always pop open any land raider/imperial knights running around, it's classic to wwp in both side and rear arcs and watch as he cant do anything to stop you | |

| Even with the kick ass WWP + Fire Dragons combo, you have only one or two dedicated units that stands any chance against tough vehicles. People who consider playing any high armoured, tanky vehicles, usually play them in multiples, and you can only deal with them on turn 2.
Your early game is going to be pretty worrying if your opponent is rocking even a handful of threatening vehicles, so I agree with Colin; perhaps find a way to sneak some more ranged anti tank in somewhere.
The jetbikes help against light transports, but if your opponent rocks up with, like 3 predators, you're basically conceding board control to them until turn 2/3 minimum, and your fire dragons will cost more than the single predator they can kill anyway.

| Swapping out 1 unit of 5 warp spiders for 1 unit of 6 Swooping Hawks with an exarch would cost 106 instead of the 105. Not sure what your points were at, but the hawks add a lot of flexibility to the list.
A few reasons to give them a look:
¤ They all have haywire grenades. <----- Here is your extra vehicle mashing power. ¤ They can move 18 inches in the movement phase, and are fleet, so they have a 30" threat radius. ¤ They use S3 rifles, but fire a LOT of shots. S3 AP5, Assault 3 - Good vs hordes. ¤ They have a special attack where they can use their haywires against flyers/FMCs in the movement phase. ¤ If you start them on the table turn 1, they can jump off into ongoing reserves so that they automatically arrive turn 2, dropping a large blast grenade pack upon arrival, in addition to their normal shooting.
EDIT: Oh yeah, and they don't scatter when they deep strike back on the table.

| The second list looks much better. Warp hunters are great. They tend to need guide so always keep that I mind when rolling for powers. I tend to roll my first two powers on telepathy and try to get Shrouded or invis and often swapping a power for shriek. Then take guide. I love warp hunters and hornets and have had crazy success.
If you could somehow squeeze in 1 more scatter bike and make it 2x3 units that would be great.
Farriers are great and are almost always a better choice than an Autarch. But in your list an Autarch might actually be worth taking because of all the units that you could easily reserve. Either an Autarch with fusion gun, or an Autarch on bike with banshee mask, laser Lance and maybe a fusion gun if points permits. The cheap Autarch really helps the fire dragons and give you solid reserve manipulation. The bike one is a great multi purpose model that can fight small units, contest, be good at counter charging and threatens vehicles.
I love Autarch and play them a lot. Then again Shrouded or invis and guide are almost always amazing. Play around and see which you prefer

| Its actually 6 swooping hawks, if you're counting the exarch as one of them. It's an important distinction because swooping hawks only get the large blast grenade pack if they have 6 models or more with grenade packs in the unit. Also, one final point. List looks pretty good, but on the warp hunter, if you can come up with 25 points, you should definitely take a crystal targeting matrix. It will allow the warp hunter to move 30 inches in turn 1 and still fire it's D-weapon at full BS. It's really good for an alpha strike with your template version of your D-weapon if there is a unit you REALLY need to get rid of turn 1. | |
