The nephilim?  It's not that uber, but it's a pretty capable fighter.  The Stormhawk is probably better as a pure fighter and cheaper but only available to codex marines.

Nephilim 170 points
BS 4 - 11 armor all around, 3 HP, Type - Fighter  3 Pursuit, 3 Agility

Wargear -
Avenger Mega Bolter
Twin Linked Heavy Bolter
Six Blacksword Missiles - One Use, Dogfight Missile - Unlimited range and Skyfire Rule at any angle of attack in Dogfights.

They could be clearer about this but in Death from the skies it's explained that any weapon itself that has skyfire can attack at full BS regardless of facing.  So taking the Icarus stormcannon on the stormhawk would do this too, although it won't likely need it.

Special Rules-
Missile Lock - Re-roll to hit one use weapons
Ravenwing - Re-roll jink saves
Strafing Run - +1 BS vs ground targets (negating fighter penalty)
Unrelenting Hunter - Any Weapon Destroyed result may be counted as immobilized instead.

Not entirely true as DftS brings the flyer detachment so you can include the Stormhawk in any imperial army without beeing forced to buy tax units.

Which also basically means we got buffed as in "you dont need to take our crappy flyer, just get a Crimson Hunter"

Concussion is important for killing WraithKnights so the fighter does have value that way.

My heart goes out to that fella Crying or Very sad that was my noob experience:  so much plotting and repainting at home only to get so excited when the game actually started that i just charged forward and got my face kicked in.

I'm just whining at this point but I have the Corsairs supplement and it makes me wonder how great the Dark Eldar could be if it was done as well as the Corsairs. The Corsairs are a supplement army for crying out loud and they're (in my opinion) fluffier and more competitive than the dark kin. What gives?!

It looks to me that our best answer to MSV marines (like the Gladius) would be Grotesques and Pain Engines. We can then save our Dark Lances on our Raiders and/or Ravagers for Armor 14 in which case I think they're worthwhile.
