| I love the dringe casters on their rhinos, so if I were a CSM player my CSM squads would just be extra wounds on a Cabal scorcerer and a spot for my ObSec dringe rhino.
Listening to The Long War today, its looking like we could see a Blood Angles "decurion" next. Le sigh...

So now that Chaos has a few new shiny formations (the Heldrake formation looks brutal, and the core formation has lots of Termicide units), how long before we get our turn at the table? The campaign that includes Dark Eldar formations that will really make them a force to be reckoned with will be released on the 14th of January, 2017. The new edition of WH40K that will make it obsolete will be released on the 15th of January, 2017.

| Rerolls on to wound poisoned shooting would be a great formarion bonus and could get venom fire to be closer to the damage of three scatbikes.
Also, being able to jink on the first turn and not suffer having to snap shoot would also add more punch and si!solar to rules the harlequins have.

| I actually don't think the next edition will invalidate that much. They don't seem to have interest in doing complete new Codices anymore.
Some formation that makes all our transport into drop pod Rules wise: first turn and less scatter or something like that would be cool and fluffy.

| Its good to see that there are so many ways to boost us without any changes to our codex. Lets just hope that GeeDubs has put half the thought into this as we have!
Also (crosses fingers) that we are next after GS Cult.

| I think the rumor currently is 30k Burning of Prospero next or something to that effect. Maybe if they do a second Curse of the Wulfen they could sneak us a formation or two in there. - CptMetal wrote:

Some formation that makes all our transport into drop pod Rules wise: first turn and less scatter or something like that would be cool and fluffy. Codexes are just a bad format for the armies. The game evolves too fast for them to keep up. One of more of them are always significantly out-of-date and it hurts the game. GW needs to release dataslates for each unit in the game individually, stick them up on their website for public download and printing and then just update that one central database as and when they need to tweak or add something. Money can be made by releasing campaign books and supplements that introduce new detachments, formations and sub-factions. Instead of reinventing the wheel every edition with codexes they just shift the meta where they need to with supplemental detachments, or just throw out fluffy formations to explore different events in the timeline. Much more efficient from a game designer perspective and much less likely to alienate customers with the constant codex BS.

| It will be interesting to see how these formations hold up.
Also, I do see use getting the first 8th Ed codex. However, I will be happy with just 1 or 2 things, those things is all I want.
1. Ravangers in Squadrons 2. Ravangers are now able to take Void lances/we can get something else that can take a Void Lance.
Here is a thought, an artillery piece that can shoot a Void Lance, or a lower setting, shooting a Dark Scythe.

| Not sure if this is still a relavent topic, being how the Chaos Warband is now 2 "Decurions" old (I assume GSC got one?). With the new rumors being SOB and Magnus, I highly doubt we will be next.
First 8th codex seems likely, since GW could give us the weakest codex (like 7th) and crappy formations without the rest of the community really noticing /sarcasm
But we will get the tripple Ravager formation, just like every other faction. Will be interesting to see how they do our "Armoured Company" formation, since we dont have multiple tanks to stack up. Maybe they will combine it with raiders and venoms?
DE and artillery just dont mix in my head...
