Dark Eldar vs Ravenwing 1,000 pts

My list consisted of:
3 venoms
2 raiders
2 ravagers
3 reaver units
1 mandrake unit

His list consisted of:
17 bikes
2 speeders

Turn 1:
I went first, Took out 1 speeder, jinked the other and took out 8 bikes. By the end of top 1, his entire army had jinked.

Bottom of 1:
He removed one reaver.

Turn 2:
I removed all but 3 bikes.... and we pretended to play half of turn 3.


MSU just rocked him too hard. Once I knew he was scared enough to jink, I just focused on jinking the army first, then returning to worthy targets. (Thank you poison against T5!)

Hmm, I thought Ravenguard had some sort of jinking ability where they re-roll the jink, or ignore the snap-shooting the turn after?

This is a surprising outcome. Generally they should have been in your face fast enough to destroy half your transports turn 1. Did he make some large blunders? Were the bikes grouped into large squads that were easier to cause jinking?

Yes, he had re-roll-able jink, but was looking at 50+ poison shots, 2 disintegrators, and 8 lances (2 blasters) All on turn 1. He only had 7 total units, so I was able to punch a pretty big hole down the middle, and divided the army. I did role above average, and he lost pretty much all his heavy weps that first round too. He purposefully didn't take the 2++ because he thought it was too cheesy. Had he brought it, It would have been a much more balanced game I think.

Also, he scouted his attack bike and middle speeder straight up... So those went very quickly, and his deployment was horrible, just a straight up line.

....Brutal!

Re-rollable 3+ jink (skilled rider if I recall) should still have done work. The dice gods were not smiling on him. What were the MVPs?
