So as you may know this past weekend I attended one of the 2 big North East GTs that are in my area. I was supposed to be there for all three days, laying in the doubles on Friday and then the main event on Saturday and Sunday. But due to some set backs, going through 2 partners before the event only getting a new one the night before and then crashing my car on the way down I was unable to attend the doubles tournament. Fortunately we were able to get a rental and I was able to make the rest of the weekend. The guys over at BFS did a great job of putting on a fun event and I was happy to have made it at all. I look forward to seeing them again in January when its my clubs turn to host a GT, the 4 annual Conflict Grand Tournament. All of my opponents were good people who I enjoyed playing with. I got to meet Mike Brandt the guy you runs NOVA, a couple of the guys from the 11th Company Podcast as well as a few more gamers I didn't know yet. As well as see some truly beautiful armies some for the 1st time in person (I'm looking at you Nyhil). I also got to do some recruiting and handed out our link to the 5, yes 5 out of 60 (we almost outnumbered GK!!!), Dark Eldar players that were there. One of which ended up in the same bracket as me on Sunday. He was running a completely foot army. So you WWP fanatics dont disheartened, it is possible to succeed with no armor what so ever.
