| DAMN YOU GARY MORLEY!
I hate that sculptor with a fiery vengeance. But in all seriousness, the point of a gladiator was to enhance the danger, so unusual weapons, piecemeal or no armor, hell, there were even accounts of slaves being blinded and made to find each other and fistfight to the death.

| new are SO much nicer than old, in almost everyway.
The old incubi are disgusting. The old wyches are disgusting the old warriors are ok-ish The old archon is ridiculous. He looks like a CSM!
the old ravagers and raiders are ok, but the new ones are way better.
The old reavers were ok, but the new ones are way better.

The old reavers were ok, but the new ones are way better. You must be kidding. I've got one of the old jetbikes right now, side by side with a new one, and it makes the new one look like a Craftworld Eldar jetbike. Seriously, the new one's look downright vanilla.

| The old ones were clunky, stunted and the riders looked crap.
The new ones look sleek and fast!

| it's all subjective.
i personally thought the old range was..... naff is a polite way of putting it.
the new range is far better, and sculpted by a far superior sculptor. gary morely could do orks. he should've stuck at that.
but then, those are my opinions and are as i said at the start, purely subjective....

| Biggest let-down was the archon, for me. As someone said, the last one had a flayed face as mask, spikes and a huge friggin flayerclaw. and trophyrack! The new one looks like Darth-Vader with horns (or at least like someone talking like him...) | |

Totally agree, the new Archon is almost indistinguishable from a Sybarite. I do like the new Succubus, however. I would also agree the proportioning is better on the new models, I just wish they had kept some of the more distinctive and unique elements. (Talos is a huge techno-scorpion with a flayed "Driver", Incubi have the little mandibles like their Craftword cuzzins, huge frigging anime shoulder pads, yadda yadda)

| As I restarted playing my old DE just some weeks ago, my army consists just of the old miniatures. The only new DE will be transports like Venoms & 1-2 Ravager and a unit of scourges. The new Ravager really has this gunboat-feeling, esp. without those sails.
Right now I am scratchbuilding a new Archon featuring parts from the new plastic-sprues: Torso & Helmet from the Raider-sprue, Legs & Agoniser & Pistol from Scourges-Sprue, Accessoirs from the whole GW-range - but that will be the only new DE-miniature in my army for the time being.

| I got to admit that I think i prefer all the new range. The only models I liked in the old range back when they came out was the incubi (and Drazhar). I never liked any of the others, but loved the idea of them, hence collected and played them.
Now, finally, the Dark Eldar have models that look great. I did like the Old talos too, but it is so fragile and heavy. And it is a pig to put together and in misshapen.
The ravager and raider again were rubbish models to build (especially the ravager) but looked ok at the time. However I think the new ones again look far more futuristic and better all round.
The old jet bikes look a bit bloated now next to the new ones.
The old wyches were hideous. I dont understand how people can prefer them. They were out of proportion, with huge shoulder blades and massive weapons. And not massive in a good way, but massive as in badly sculpted. They all looked like guys too. just with moobs.
The old Archon looked like his face was melting. I hated the model. Liked the claw though.
I like the new Archon. Do wish it was a little more dynamic though.
Hellions were all dull, new ones are much better and look really "mad max"
