| I've been building some Wracks.
Anyway, these Wracks have a problem, good forumites, and that is that I cannot decide how to equip their Acothyst. I'm considering either a traditional Agonizer or a less-seen Flesh Gauntlet, both equal in points cost. The rules seem to make them fairly equal in utility (though I haven't played much of the game, so I wouldn't know), but I just MASSIVELY like the idea behind the Flesh Gauntlet better. The whole idea that, with a single touch, this weapon will make its victim swell and outgrow his own flesh, rupturing and heaving as organs desperately try to carry out their functions. It's quite gruesome. I like gruesome. The problem? On the model, the Agonizer is a badass whip from Hell, man! It's there, it's intimidating, it's easy to see who has it, thereby easy to identify the Acothyst. The Flesh Gauntlet? It's a giant metal hand... Giant metal hands are cool and all, I love Army of Darkness just like the next guy, but it just doesn't seem to work aesthetically... Maybe it will look better painted?
Anyway, here's the question: Is there a decent way to model a cooler-looking Flesh Gauntlet? Something that fits with the flow of the Wrack's body? I dunno, I kinda have an image of Edward Scissorhands with syringes and scalpels instead of scissors. Are there any pieces out that that would work out?
My idea currently is to paint the Acothyst's body, spinal growth, and Flesh Gauntlet, glue his spinal growth on, and just dry fit his Flesh Gauntlet for a while... see how it looks... Anyway, any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

| If you wind up getting a Talos, there are so many spare bits with it it's untrue. The conversion possibilities it allows you are endless! I've assembled mine with chain flails, twin-linked haywire blaster and additional close combat weapon, and it's allowed me enough spares to give my converted Grotesques a liquifier gun, a flesh gauntlet, four or five different heads, wires all over the place, syringes, vials, all sorts. The Flesh Gauntlet itself is a bit boring looking, I'll grant you that - I'm equipping my Aberration with one, and I think I'll try and find a way to combine it with the Ichor Injector syringe from the Talos kit, possibly having the syringe part coming out of the palm or from underneath.
If you don't want a Talos, which is understandable as some people really don't seem to like them, some tweaking with plastic tubing as a syringe shouldn't be too hard. Although if you can get holf of the old Archon model from somewhere, his nasty spiky hand might look quite good on a Wrack.

| Oh, yeah, man, I forgot about my Talos! (I already have one!) His old sprues should provide a wealth of bits to screw around with.
I'm planning on using the Cronos tentacles on the Wracks' Raider. Instead of those blades underneath it, it'll have tentacles dangling underneath it. It will be bleeding cool with the right paint job.

| Also remember, that the Acothyst will loose an attack by being equipped with a special weapon of any kind.
(it starts with 2 poison CCW and ends up with two different special CCW)
Some of the small vestigial arms would probably work really nice as a flesh gauntlet.

That will look good, will they count as chain snares? With maybe a little slicing/repositioning you could have them snatching away a Guardsman, Doctor Octopus style! I've been toying with the idea of using my spare tentacles as spines for Grotesques but they're too twisted to be viable really. Determined to use every bit of the kit though... Also unless, you used it already, there's that claw hand that comes with the Talos - that's what I'll be using for a Flesh Gauntlet. You could maybe experiment with that before you start hacking up Finecast models, like a dry run.
