Reavers with sails

Hey everyone! Looking for advice and thoughts about some custom jet bikes. I was thinking about carving up some extra raider sails and attaching them to all the bikes. I saw it on a batrep once (eldar equivalent) and thought it would add to my desert feel.

Any thoughts?

Like a Wind surfing board? Were I in need of some vypers I'd probably do this as counts-as for them out of Harlequin bikes, as regular jetbikes my fear is loss of aesthetic with how much you'd need to cut down off the sails.

If it is then those windsurfing jetbikes are seriously cool! The Raider sail seems to fit quite nicely too. If you can get your hands on the little control pad on a stick from the Raider kit that would work nicely as a handle for the sail as well, and maybe the Kabalite hangers on would have the right pose to fit nicely.

You're right they'd fit really nicely with a desert-themed army. Like a fleet of those dune skiffs from Star Wars

Vertical sail? Originally when I posted I thought horizontal but now I'm leaning vertical

Hmmm, I'd say single guy with an upright sail, although doing a quick mockup with blutac would help to see which one you prefer

You could save the 2 guys idea for some converted Dark Eldar versions of Harlequin Skyweavers

To throw some inspiration your way, the last time someone ran the Haemonculus Challenge (conversion contest, which really needs to happen again....) @koshi482 did something similar. The concept that time was a Lord on a "Ridiculous Ride" with escorts, and his escorts were a set of Reaver/Windsurfers.

They used the front prow and sail from a Raider and turned out very nicely I thought.

I've been meaning to make up some Eldar/Dark Eldar void ships out of scrap bits and pieces. Those have given me loads of inspiration!

After Tuesday I will have a few days to assemble these guys.

I'm thinking reaver hull, full sized sail, and use a hellion hull on the seat. Then have a harmonculuized riders (4 arms type a deal) using hellion bodies

I have a tourny Sunday, so I hope to at least have them assembled in time (casual local paint rules haha)

The parts fit together with minimum green stuff, and they skeleton of the parasail looks really good so far!

I took the seat and front of a reaver, barebones sky board and the sail to build the skeleton parasail. I'm going to build the other 5 then come back and add the other bits

Seeing how nicely those kits go together really makes me want to grab a mishmash of jetbike kits and start making some Eldar Voidcraft
