Forces of Ulthwe and scalpel squadron

Since the Forces of Ulthwe can come from reserve in turn 1, it may be a good unit to help a scalpel squadron get his first blood. we just need to aim a unit not too weak to be killed by the Ulthwe.

Well. That's actually a nice idea. Another reason to not take scatter bikes. I know they are awesome but I just dislike them. I felt dirty after I used them....

So maybe war walkers instead and nearly kill a unit? Preferably stuff like havoc or devastator units.

you Sound like there are so many Units for first blood in t1 that any of them can get

normally there are just Transports , and you canßt kill them with SS.
It sounds like a lucky shot to kill them in t1 with Forces of Ultwe

Forces of Ulthwe can get First Blood pretty reliably. 12+ S6 shots on rear armor? That seems pretty much like a slam dunk to me.

What we should try to achieve is weaken a unit with FoU first, and finish it with SS. The only downside is SS is not a Ynnari formation and won't have soulburst action. But it's only a small downside, comparing to the benefit of having a reliable null deployment.

Didnt Ulthwe Strikeforce had Scatter Bike? And stupidly does not have a warlock bike?

Yes! Scalpel Squadron gets 1D3 instead of 1 Victory point for First blood.
Or does Ulthwe strike force have something similar?
I don't know the Craftworlders so well.
