So, the Primaris version of Assault Marines move 10". Wonder what we can expect from Hellions and Scourges?

12 inches at least.
If they get slower, I'd be very (!!) surprised.
They are not that great at the moment and I trust the frontline guys enough to make sure that they are usable now.

That's why I'm considering buying some of the gangs of Commorragh boxes.

At least 12" I hope.
I like how characters look overpowered even I'm comparison to thei own troops, like they are the stuff of legends, not just your round of the mill captain.
Maybe our characters will be fearsome this time.

Honestly, I want to see the Solitaire. He/she needs to be a wrecking ball on par with girly-man, just not as bad as 2nd ed.

The Solitaire: 15 Attacks on the charge at Strength 12... 2++ save... 18" movement... 145 points per model...

We call this "balanced for Ward"

Aww man they might as well have invalidated the regular Chibi-Marines if they are going to make the Primaris marines this good. Especially when the models are so fresh.
Except the captain that looks like an armored silverback gorilla with back problems.

I was thinking WS 2+, BS 2+, re-roll to hit rolls of 1, W 7, SV 3++, opponents hit at solitaire at -2 (stealth + shrouding), then let the weapons do the talking.

am i the only one who thinks flying dire-spacemarines dualwielding heavy bolters seems almost commical? because thats what those "primaris inceptor" guys are

at the very least rather excessive on the dualwielding heavy-bolters part.

and this is from me who is pretty hyped about 8th <.<

Turns out they're 53ppm, so I'm not worried.

They got 6 heavy Bolter shots.per model!
We need to go MSU against those otherwise they delete one squad per turn.

But yeah, they are comical.

I really do hope they will give us Primaris chaos Marines then I'd build my Alpha Legion force.

I thin msu will loose its potency because everything will be split-fire.

Two options:
1) Kill them before they kill you, just like you should with dark eldar.

2) Enjoy the screaming and the pain of your brothers while you slowly make those bastards suffer.

A dissie will average five-sixths of a dead Primaris Inceptor. Two Thirds of a dead one if they're in cover. That makes dissies one of the most effective anti-Inceptor weapons around.
Fire a dissie Ravager at them and you can expect the unit to lose two of their three models. Our dissie Ravagers/Raiders have a range of 36''+Move. The Primaris Inceptors have a range of 28''+Advance. Even on a perfect Advance roll, we outrange them.

They'll naturally choose to deepstrike (sorry, "Meteoric Descent") instead, but that's just less Alpha for the enemy army to take us down with on turn one. Spread out so they can't do too much when they land, and make the most of their diminished turn-one shooting. I'm not overly worried.
