From the Core Rules, does any model get cover if it is wholely within terrain? The advanced rules mention Infantry getting it, but other models needing 50% obscurement. Without the advanced rules, would a Wraithknight get cover if it is in the woods?

I haven't seen the rules for the WK yet, but I seriously doubt it's going to be an infantry model. Likely it'll be a vehicle or MC instead.

So, unless you've modelled some very large trees which can obscure 50% of the model, it won't get cover from the woods.

From the Advanced Ruoles, its pretty much JUST Infantry who get cover now.

What about the basic rules though? They are very straightforward. And sounds like any model.

I suspect most folks will play with the advanced rules after a few starter games, but I'm not exactly sure on the base interaction.

Wraithknights are Monster, Titanic, so you have to get 50% obscured by relevant terrain.

Edit: Terrain and Cover, Basic Rules, "If a unit is entirely on or within any terrain feature, add 1 to the models' saving throws against shooting attacks to represent the cover received from the terrain (invulnerability saves are unaffected). Units gain no benefit from cover in the Fight phase.

You will need some large terrain pieces to allow for it.

I have a cover related question too.

Shooting through another unit doesn't give cover anymore. Am I correct?
