| I have gone back and forth with the two and can not make up my mind. My girl plays harleys and her troups are about the same cost as trueborn. So I think an army of Trueborn split with blaster born and cannon born to replace the normal Kabalites would work. Has anyone put it to the test yet? Do we still need the bodies or would an all elite force work?
In a 2000 pt list I have fit 5xTB 1x Incubi 1x Archon 1x scourges 1 x mandrakes 2x rrazorwigs (everyone is in a transport that need one)

| I'm thinking that too. just a vanguard and outrider for 2000pts with tons of mandrakes, true born, incubi, scourge and hellions/reavers. mandrakes, scourge and hellions drop in to create a second threat are on t1, incubi and trueborn move up together as the hard-hitting element of the force. | |

| Have decided to move on to a 2500pts list consisting of 2 Vanguard and 2 Spearheads as it allows the maximum amount of lances taken within the Dark Eldar framework while having bodies for other missions | |

| Am I the only one still thinking in terms of "maximum number of troops"? | |

| As there seems to be no real point in having Troops in 8e then I think a lot of people will be trying to max out their most competitive army slots instead. | |

farout! that is really easy now with 1 hq tax you can take 6 of an op unit! and do that multiple times! i can see tournaments ruling this out. EDIT: troops are only useful for obj as it relies on no. of models, but other units can just kill a whole unit off an obj.

| Yeah but if your best unit killed all their troops they won't be able to hold anything. We're back in 5th where people took tropps as a tax and then spammed thier best stuff. Except now we don't even have a troop tax. | |

Mox troops in a raider gives you a max of of 18 splinter shots in rapid fire range of 12 in. This is with out blaster upgrades. 1 venom with 5 TB 4 splinter cannons and 2 blaster giver you 24 splinter shots 2 blasters in 18 in range.
