| I started to paint my own Ynnari force with most focus on the Dark Eldar. I will post any new painted models in this section, so be sure to check it out once a week or so. I decided to go with regal colors - white, blue and gold to symbolize that The Legacy Grasped is Aledari reborn to glory - they strive to be the best their race can, strapped in gold-blue armor and with white cloth, that evokes the feeling of pride and purity. I also recently started to work on Unfleshed, spirits of Eldar who worship the nascent Death God, but died far away from their brethren and latched onto forest flora and fauna to fend off the pull of She Who Thirsts. I field them as Wracks and Haemies, as the standard models don't fit my army theme very well. As of now I have painted: Selentia’Uriental, Butcher of the Groves Gallowers and the Speaker of Roots Lord of the Gallow Groves, my Treelord count-as Avatar of Khaine: A Raider, Winged Glory: Not that pleased with color blends, the paint was too thick. Will do better on the second one. A few Kabalites: I go between red and green as additional colors for variety. A custom-made Solitaire, Valeris, the Conquest of Ynnead: And Yvraine: I kinda blew her face, but maybe will get back to it to retouch it. Here is a new addition to the army, Sileas, Call of Ynnead: Some more kabalite photos: Current army progress: tumblr_ovt7geE8RA1u8vk1qo5_1280.jpg" /> The Viscarch: Raider of the Unfleshed: I will update this gallery as frequently as I can. More photos available on my wargaming blog, Warlock Purple Any comments, critique etc. welcome.

| I like that clean colour scheme. I know how hard it is to paint faces, so I don´t judge. But the colour scheme and the flag bearer are looking great. Fitting for the theme you want to set and the feeling you want to transport. | |

| Thanks, with each painted model I try to imporve my techniques and style, but sadly, it does not work every time, as it was with Yvraine's face. | |

| Clean color scheme, a nice conversion. The only thing that bothers me is the snowy ground. With such bright color on your scheme, you should consider having dark bases, for a better contrast. When I started my white color scheme i was doing the same, and quickly switch to darker bases after a few tries ^^ Edit : There are tons of discussion threads about choosing a good base theme for your army Here's an dakka thread about base colors. | |

This is not snow, it's sand on small rocks, it looks better irl, on photos it tends to look a bit weird.

| Finished Kabalites for a total of 10. Still got a Raider, Viscarch, 10 more Kabalites and the Yncarne to go before I move on to new army additions. | |

| Yvraine is pretty easy, only her hair is annoying. Viscarch is no more difficult than an archon, so easy peasy, but the Yncarne is a raging pain in the bum, due to his spirits. | |

| There will be more vines, these were just to show the general idea, though I don't want to go overboard. As my wife tends to say, less is more. | |

| I'm really enjoying the color scheme you have, it's looks quite lovely on elegant looking models compared to the more bulky ones of the Imperium.
The Unfleshed raider is an interesting concept conversion wise. Although I'm not sure what I think of the black streaks you have on there. But you certainly have gotten it to have a weathered and grimy vibe to it compared to the rest of your army.

| Thanks. The streaks are red, it's just light making it look black. | |

| Here is my spin on the Treelord, fielded as the Avatar of Khaine in my Ynnari collection. I added a grasping tentacle in his missing eye socket to reinforce the idea of “regeneration through consupmtion of flesh”. Here is a bit of lore:
Lord of the Gallow Groves is a monster born when hundreds of Eldar perish in battle, following the conflicts of the Ynnari. His half-spirit, half-plant nature makes him almost unkilable, as most damage is repaired by consuming flesh and souls of its slain foes. The Unfleshed dryads follow his every step, feasting upon death dealt by this monstrous personification of lost souls.
More picks on the blog. | |

| Added Gallowers, my count-as Wracks and the Speaker of Roots, my count-as Haemy.
The Unfleshed are mad Eldar spirits, bound to the flora in a risky attempt to walk amongst the living again. Gallowers are partially reformed Eldar, slightly less insane than their freshly reanimated companions, able to wield close combat weaponry of their living brethren. Driven with a lust for lifeforce, they are slowly regaining their Eldar features, sprouting twisted, head-looking fruit that scream gibberish. When the time is right, a fully formed Eldar will emerge from the body, but will he be sane enough, only time will tell. The Speaker of Roots is usually a spirit of a Farseer or an especially self-aware Archon or other Eldar leader, that can survive the madness of the Fleshless Rebirth, adapting to their new weird, but doubtlessly stronger body. They revel in new sensations, able to regenerate limbs and experience the universe in a way that would’ve sparked a sheen of youth in a most jaded Dark Eldar. They lead hordes of Gallowers and other Unfleshed creatures, following the wake of Ynnari battlefields, where meat is ripe and new lost souls wait to be inducted into the fold.

| Added Selentia'Uriental, Butcher of the Groves The twins Selentia and Uriental are bound in death as they were in life, ancient Eldar souls bound in the powerful body of a Wraithknight. They are a fickle duo, following where the carnage is greater to practice their deadly craft. Surrounded by death and tiny woodland spirits, they follow in the wake of the Legacy Grasped, as the unformal leader figures of the Unfleshed. I went for the minimal conversion approach, as I find this model too awesome to overly convert (maybe another try ) - I added some woodland spirits around the body and over the base as well as changed the shoulder guard to cloth from Treemen Ancients so it's more in tone with its woodland brethren. | |
