| I don't want to touch the Skub that is "ynnari good or bad" so I'll just note you all that we might be getting some neat Dark Eldar stuff faster than anyone thought - GW has stopped delivering Ravagers and Razorwing Jetfighters to several countries in Europe, some shops even had recalls of the boxes already in place and the models are completly removed from the online shops so they can't be bought from them. GW still sells them tho, but Razorwings are on limited amount order. | |

Is this not just the repackaging to "Drukhari" that all of our units are slowly going through?

I thought the same thing, but the timing and sudenness is kinda off, at least according to my shopkeeper buddy. Normaly it works way different than that, but it also may be due to the whole 8th edition being on a way tighter schedule than older ones. Still, one can hope...

I just ordered two ravagers on Friday and they are still available in the store... Really share your hopes, but I think it's just the repackaging ... !

I'm 200% sure it's repackaging. Those are plastic, fit in with the rest of the vehicles, have few faults and look really good. There's no reason to change anything, not even the extra bits (but I'm still praying for easier access to alternative crew, especially wrack crew). As a sidenote, it might not be ideal to shorten Razorwing Jetfighters to Razorwings, as Razorwings are another, completely different unit. AFAIK the most common way to shorten it is to RWJF.

| I would like the Razorwings name to be changed entirely. Make it something like the Nighthawk or Screaming Fury, etc just to differentiate and make it sound nothing like any other unit. | |

| The razorwing jetfighters have here alrready been problematic to get a hand on for roughly 2 months. But it is now actually again possible thanks to the change to limited order. So I think there really is a repakaging and supply problem (ravagers are still in some shops here). | |

| I actually love the fact that DE have named a plane after some birds they use in battle. That's something any civilisation would do. It's logical, and very fluffy. | |

| Totally agree with Mpp. I know it's often confusing, but locally I call one my Razorwing and the other my flock. Still like that DE named the big bird after their little birds. | |

| I understand that concept, but then we also don't. Take the F-14A Tomcat for example. I think it is better to name it after a creature that we hear about in lore but can't actively place on the table. In doing this you get the best of both worlds, a craft appropriately named after its culture and yet a unique craft that can't be mistaken for something else. | |

| ITT: people can't tell birds apart from a jetfighter. | |

| I was under the impression that everything in the Xenos codecies were Imperium translations. So what the Imperium refer to as RWF and RWJF would be totally different to the DE.
(edit) except for Orks... they can name their stuff whatever they want.

(edit) except for Orks... they can name their stuff whatever they want. Not really. If they named the flock on a name and use the same name for the jet, it's only logical it's still the same name converted in gothic.

Not in a list format and not if they don't know the army (allbeit 'flocks' and 'jetfighter' should be ending each entry) it just adds a point that could lead to confusion that is unnecessary. But in the end I'm not fussed either way. Tis what it is and it doesn't remove any enjoyment I have with the game, just find it a little dull for GW to recycle names when they have such a deep lore to pull from.
