Twilight Pathways and Word of the Phoenix

Good afternoon Gents and Ladies,

You will have to please forgive me if this has been covered before but I've just had as thought. Twilight Pathways from the Harlequin psychic powers allows the unit to immediately make another move. Word of the Phoenix allows for a Soulburst action.

Could I, move up 8" with my troupe and Shadowseer, cast Twilight Pathways to immediately move another 8" and then cast Word of the Phoenix to move ANOTHER 8"?

Yes, you can do that as long as the unit you are casting the powers on is both Harlequin and Ynnari. In fact, you can advance with the unit in both moves too as they lose their ability to advance and assault in the same turn. And it works on bikes too, so Skyweavers could move 22" with each move.

But could you not move 3 times without advancing and then charge at the end of it?

Would give you a charge threat range of 24-36"?

Yep, just pointing out the options if you want to ,say reposition for a charge next turn.

The main problem is the range of the spells. You need to position your psykers to be in range to cast the powers after the first and second moves.

Oh yeah sure the logistics of getting everyone in position to pull this off on anything but the first turn is a nightmare just to think of, but the sheer mobility provided by this is massive!

First turn charge from 6 zephyrglaive wielding Skyweavers? Yes please!!!

Ive moved 51" (with the charge) in Ynnari Harlequins before on a Solitaire, Move 12+D6, got within 3" of Shadowseer, move 12+D6, then my Yncarne Word of Phoenix.

I had to b.c he had this insane 4 unit of Devastators and 2 Storm Ravens with Dante giving re-rolls. I wanted a Turn 1 Dante kill, i only did 4 wounds, but he could not fallback b.c he wanted the Aura on everything and didnt want to move any of his 16 Lascannons, he also thought Dante was going to kill the Solitaire, he did not and turn 2 i killed Dante.

PS i usted the Kiss b.c he has a 4++ answers.

That sounds absolutely ridiculous!

I love the thought of my opponent lining his gun line just outside what he thinks my charge range is and then the look on his face when he realises my slow looking foot unit can charge 36" forwards in one turn

Yeah, Since Shadowsweers are characters you can start in vehicle on the deployment line, get out 3" move 8+D6 and the Starweavers can move in front making it not target able.

This will give you that extra 11+D6 range with the Power. So many tricks with Harlequins, giving that they only have 8 total units, thats why i love them.
