Name that Weapon! (Drukhari Edition)

Hello everyone and thank you in advance. My name is Trancefate and I have recently acquired many (presumably older style?) drukhari units in a cheap ebay auction. I am new to warhammer, with about 3 months experience and a fairly stout Chaos Daemons list (tzeentch rulz! #smyte4lyfe). I am attempting to fashion the Dark Eldar that I have into as nice a force as possible and then make a targetted wishlist to finish my army.

In order to do this I am going to need to identify exactly which guns I have and which ones I need. That is where you come in! (Searching the internet at broad was not very useful and indeed raised more questions than it answered).

Please tell me what the following weapons are!

Ravager has 2-dissie 1 lance. Second from bottom is Shredder (3rd edition didn't have blasters), Third up from bottom is a DL, 4th up is a Splinter Cannon, and top is a Shardcarbine (used to be a Splinter Rifle, back before Shardcarbine was a thing)

Thanks a ton for the answers... unfortunately I edited and added two more in the middle while you were answering HAHA!

Kinda odd that the disintegrators look like big dark lances, while the dark lance looks like a bigger something different.

Ok so your first one is a Scourge with a splinter rifle, Shardcarbines weren't a thing back in 3rd. 2nd image is a Kabalite with a splinter cannon. 3rd is a Kabalite with a dark lance. 4th looks like a blaster? No blaster it seems. 5th is a splinter rifle. 6th is gonna be dark lances and a desintegrator. Last is twin- splinter cannons.

TYVM, this is what I was thinking. I wonder if I could run those as blasters w/o issue in a tournament, since shredders seem kinda booty.

Atm i've got:
2 squads of 5 kabalites w/ blaster (maybe)
squad of 10 kabalites w/ splinter cannon
5 Trueborn w/ 2x dark lance
5 trueborn w/ 2x splinter cannon (these models are the same as kabs I just paint em diff right?)
3x raider w/ disintegrator, 1 raider w/o crew or weapon.
ravager w/ disintegrator 2x dark lance
8 hellions
5 reavers (no special weapons)
6 scourges..... could I use them as shardcarbines since they don't even have the option for rifles now, or are those models just obsolete?
Talos
Archon w/ pistol & agonizer (wanting to run him as blaster but model for it doesn't exist)

I wouldn't see any issue using the old model for a blaster IMO. I wouldn't say the old Scourges are obsolete, just the newly reboxed ones are very nice and have a larger base size making them seem all that bigger. You'll have to use spares to convert your Archon, DE kits are very versatile like that.

The Talos has what is called a Talos sting. though it may as well be two splinter cannons.

Basically URIEN has correctly identified everything for you - except that what everyone keeps calling a Shredder is, in fact, a Blaster - the old Shredder had more of a flange, mace-like front.

3rd edition did have blasters.

Oh god those were the days. Most of my models are still old style. Why replace them? Smile

The old Talos didn't have options on it. Pieces you put on were entirely fluff. So that claw and ... other thing are absolutely nothing but fluff. Closest I can assume they are nowadays are a Macro-Scalpel and an Ichor Injector.

You can also take the 7th edition codex (or get a pdf version on the internet, wtv) they got a section dedicated to weapons, with some pretty drawn visuals.

I have the Archon limited edition codex, no way will I ever get rid of that. The painting guide comes in handy and the lore and artwork is great to look back upon. Still have my 5th ed' as well.

Now, if I cut the lil tippies off the haywire blaster it becomes a heat lance right? Not that I want to do that; Im gonna run these badboys against my buddies Azrael parking lot. Hopefully they can help with the invuln saves on the dreadnoughts.

Ish the heatlance tip is actually about twice as long and has a small cylinder before the tip, but yeah that works were I magnetizing my scourges that way I'd be doing barrel swaps right after the overhand foregrip tho.

I e never seen a front mounted blaster from third though. That must be a conversion, my 3rd ed blaster wielders are like thors, shoulder mounted, kneeling and standing. Like a bulldog dark lance.

Good luck working out what is an agoniser and what is a power sword! (Psst, they are all agonisers, before 5th agonisers were described as being any whips, swords halberds axes, or really anything. A biro perhaps...)
