| Hey guys, thinking of adding a Harley detachment to my de. What does everyone think about them hanging out with the true kin? I run pretty much all kabal heavy, aka ravagers venoms raiders with kabs with a blaster each as they're pretty cheap troops, a single rwjf with my 2 ravagers. Sometimes incubi or scourge with Lance or blasters.
However with the new webway strategem for all eldar, I was thinking a Harley bomb of a shadowseer and a 10 man troupe all holding embraces coming down, using the movement spell and just shredding infantry. I find I am having trouble with anti infantry and thought this may help. Thoughts?

| Harlies are better in melee than anything we've got. Add in good auras and a psyker and it sounds like a winning combo. | |

| Not trying to hijack the thread but, I've been considering a single Solitaire to go with my mechanised DE list. Anyone tried this guy out alone? | |

| I’ve done a solitaire and 4 harlie jetbikes alongside DE one time. Both units did excellently, Bikes taking out a unit of dark reapers turn 1 and the solitaire blitzing to take out a unit of scorpions singlehandedly in one turn allowing me to score the domination maelstrom objective. | |

| Wow, where did the Dark Reapers deploy so you could assault them like that? :-D | |

Probably directly infront of the Skyweavers, which can move 22" and then charge.

| I don't remember what I rolled on the charge for the bikes, but as mentioned 22" + 2D6" is a pretty big threat range. I had my bikes deployed far forward of course, his reapers were in a building in his deployment zone. Can't remember the map exactly but we deployed on the long edges, so only 24" between our deployment zones. It's really not that hard to get a first turn charge off with the bikes against pretty much whatever you want in their army unless they wait until after the bikes are deployed and then deploy that unit as far away as possible.
If the bikes go down in points in the codex I would definitely be keen to run three units of four.
The solitaire's blitz can be super useful. Depends on the target though as to how much of a difference he will make. The 3++ is great for tanking if he does manage to get targeted. He is fun to play with!
To the OP, some other discussion just after the chapter approved stuff leaked here: http://www.thedarkcity.net/t16762-harlequins-in-chapter-approved I suggested exactly what you did about webwaying in a shadowseer + troupe.

| Yea, but literally EVERYONE I know either puts Reapers into a Serpent for T1 or wraps them so they dont loose them to stuff like Heldrakes or Solitaire or Skyweavers. Thats why I was surprised. Exposing them like that is... well... like "duuuh"... | |

| True but that is 3 reapers less for each unit you have. Not all armies have those massive first turn charge ranges, so I can understand preferring another 6 reapers (considering 2 units) and assuming there will be some los blocking terrain far enough at the back that you will not be shot and often not assaulted first turn. | |

| This game happened quite early on in 8th so I assume my opponent didn't know it could happen. He's also not the most competitive player. | |

| Understandable... well... I dont think he will be making that mistake again and realize they do have 48'' range. :-D | |
