Well, today's rumour engine is something that is overtly Eldar in design, though I wouldn't say that I necessarily think that it is of Commorrite origin, despite it being very pointy.

You would think they would attempt to roll out models with their corresponding codex, right? I mean, no one had any expectations for when/which codexes would be released.

well actually that was the whole point of GW's approach: you divorce model from codex release excepting army launches.

I'm not sure I follow you're last statement. To clarify, you're saying GWs approach is to separate the release of models for a certain army and their corresponding codex? Wouldn't both Death Guard and Space Marines A) be the only example of new models thus far (they're the only models I can remember being released since June of 2017...so I could be forgetting something), and B) be an example of models being released along side their codex?

Additionally, unless this is a new variant on a preexisting, older unit (which is completely viable), I can't see how it would make sense to introduce a new unit/model after a new codex is introduced.

They're trying to get the Codexes out ASAP for this edition, I don't think it's reasonable to think that model releases should necessarily take place at the same time as them.

I don't have an opinion and I'm not predicting anything.

Sly Marbo is being released following a very Guard codex which doesn't include him. Whether or not his rules are also printed in something like Gathering Storm or a codex supplement or something else entirely remains to be seen. Whether this is any kind of precedent or just a surprise Marbo also remains to be seen.

I don't buy that.

They use tortured wraithbone as amunition and snort dead Farseers. They must use captured spirit stones for something.

Not their intended purpose, obviously, but something. Like maybe if you grind them up and put them in a fire, it smells nice.

Incubi make bloostones out of soulstones. But anyone noticing the strange grill/ ridge bits underneath? No Wraith construct, be it Titan holofin, or part of some other Wraith have that bit on it. Plus there's something extra 'clamped' underneath as well. Castigators are covered in Spirit stones for a start.

I recall a rumor from a while back about new Harlequin units in the making. One of them was a Harlequin Walker type unit. I'll put my money on Harlequins.

I'm not thinking it's DE. The soulstone thing has a ridge around it, like a gemstone set in metal. The DE stuff has those spirit stone shaped bumps on armour and vehicles, but never with that ridge. On DE stuff they are just bumps.

I feel like this a Ynnari release of some sort be it new wraith unit or vehicle.
