Doubles. What to do with 86pts?

This is not a sensible list.

At all.

But it'll be fun running alongside a Nid swarm of gaunts and zoans.

Its 900pts, and I've taken a Vanguard Detachment - three units of ten Mandrakes, one unit of ten Incubi (to Webway) and an Archon cause I have to.
I'm left with 86pts.

With judgements for the list taken for granted, what would you do with those 86pts?

2 units of Kabs, give them both PGL and agonisers.

Leaves you with two points to give everyone a hat.

Lol Squid, that list sounds hilarious. Smack em up front with the Nids, and shank 'em in the back with the Drakes, while your baseball bat of an incubi squad bashes em from behind.

Your options are:
-Venom for the Archon
-Reavers for a mobile, slightly tough objective grabber, maybe a heavy weapon.
-Hellions for the lols
-Beastpack to run with the nids and to pretend to be in command of the horde.
-Wyches to tie things up for Nids?
-Drop some dudes to take a Talos/Cronos
-Another HQ?


Realistically, Ikol's suggestion of Kabs is probably your best bet. You can protect/screen with the kabs to protect the Zoans as well.

Would be much more sensible with 6 units of 5 Mandrakes. Although that wouldn't work for the Vanguard, so perhaps 4×5 and 1×10, or 5×6 plus the Incubi.

I like the idea of a Beastmaster to command the oversized beastpack your partner is bringing. That would leave enough points for a pair of Khymerae to finish off. Although that would take another elite slot if you wanted to spread out the Mandrakes more.

Khymerae sheep dogs?

Hmm, Beasts seem to be a popular option.....

So in theory, thats a Beastmaster and either 3 Khymerae, or two Razorwing Flocks........?
Alternatively 8 Khymerae, or 6 Razorwing Flocks without the Beastmaster. THis would be more annoying as I don;t have that many Razorwings......

The rerason I'm keeping to larger squads is for unit drops. I don't have my partners full list yet, but I've set it up this way for now just in case I exceed half our combined army for deployment. Possibly subject to a little change.

Yeah beasts be fun to add.

Which is best suggested?

what kind of missions will you be playing? You should try to plug gaps in your buddys list with those last few points

you can have one understrength unit of each unit type per army. so you can have one unit of only two DL true born, the rest must be five.

Thats not the same tho, it was neat and fun if they would have stayed like that in 6/7th iw ould have bought the Dark Elves Corsairs and done them up like Rangers.

Get 8 dogs, no beast master. They are independent and can deal with things the drakes can't

Beasts are a good call. Perhaps three units of a single clawed fiend if you can shave a couple points off the list elsewhere?

He already is dealing MW with the drakes, and good AP with the incubi. I think the dogs help with GEQs, which is where you may be lacking (dependent on ally list). I don't believe the fiends help with that.

Really? I look at Khymerae and think they;re only real good as a wall. They don't look like they can deal with anything.

Khymeras have been mathhammered the best GEQ killer in our index, if i recall correctly. They have excellent damage output for the points.

They are what wyches should be.
